The official opening day of the 2026 Henry County Farmers Market is upon us! We hope to see you this Saturday May 30th 8am-NOON in the parking lot of St Paul Lutheran Church, 1075 Glenwood Ave, Napoleon.

Can’t forget about the PEACHES! 🍑 😍

Trying out a Peach Streusel Muffin was a fabulous idea!

These peach streusel muffins are hearty - while still being light on the pallet, rich and texture and loaded with peaches!

A light vanilla glaze on top gives it a beautiful balance and sweet sweetness.

These will be making an appearance at the farmers market this Saturday in Henry County!!

🍪 NEW EXPERIMENT IN THE BRIEF BITES KITCHEN 🍪

A request came in for gluten free dessert options… and Brief Bites said: challenge accepted. 💛

Today’s adventure:
🥜 Gluten free peanut butter cookies

I’m stepping into recipe testing mode because everyone deserves a sweet treat option, and I’m excited to see where this leads. If all goes well, gluten free goodies may be making more appearances in the future!

Who else loves seeing new menu ideas get created from scratch? 👩‍🍳✨

Stay tuned for taste test results… because every great recipe starts with a little curiosity and a lot of butter (or the gluten free equivalent 😉).

What a day. ✨🍪🧁

Our very first farmers market is officially in the books and my heart is so full!! Huge shoutout to The Brown Bag Market for this opportunity!

There were late nights, early mornings, labeling chaos, baking marathons, moments of “wait… did I forget something?” and a kitchen that looked like a flour tornado rolled through it. 😂

And honestly? Every second of it was worth it.

This has taught me so much about preparation, timing, inventory, presentation, and trusting myself while building something from the ground up. Watching people stop by the booth, smile, support, and enjoy what I created was such an incredible feeling. (Even the surprise visit from Julie MooreWeddings and Dan Cousineau from Standish MI!! 🤩)

“What do you have left?” - a question I’ve been receiving since late yesterday evening.
