And just like that, we've reached the final weekend of May! Graduations are on our minds, summer plans are coming together, gardens are planted, wedding season is among us and apparently the heat is here.

We've got a great menu planned with many popular items returning (pumpkin bars in May? You bet! IYKYK) and some delicious new treats as well (Mocha Cookies n Creme Brownie)! Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend!

On Monday we celebrate Memorial Day. It's a time for us to honor the veterans who gave everything for the freedom we enjoy. Don't forget the Vietnam Memorial Wall - Watertown dedication on Monday. This past weekend we offered garlic herbs & parmesan croissants for the first time. We documented the second half of creating these delicious little flaky treats (we should have gotten the first half of the croissant making process but we forgot). May is moving right along and we're back to full staff strength! Here's hoping we can all stay healthy for a bit now. 🤞 With that, we've pulled out some of the big ones this weekend. French Silk Brownie Cheesecake...Banana Cream Pie... Strawberry Shortcake Parfait with house made angel food cake anyone!? We'll even start Friday morning with a (very) limited quantity of Kitchen Sink cookies. Yeah, we got the goods this weekend, fo' sho'. 🤦😂

Thank you for your patience these past few weeks as our team focused on their health and healing post surgery. We're finally back this week and just in time for all those wonderful Moms out there! We're excited about the menu and will be rotating in some additional cookie flavors throughout the weekend (like pineapple whip and white chocolate macadamia) as other flavors run out.

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we'd like to announce that we have added a Teacher/Administrator discount. Just show your teacher ID to save. We appreciate all that you do for our future generations!

Hi everyone!

We're getting a little back to normal around here (YAY!!!) and thanks for your patience. Soon we'll be sharing all of the delicious treats you've so patiently been waiting for!

While we haven't been open, and two folks on our team have been recovering from surgery, we haven't been completely taking time away from some of the important things!

As of today, we have 15 applications for Gosling Grad Grants to help pay student fees which will allow them to participate at graduation. The current requests total $8,075.50. As of today, we have collected $5,681.47 for these students. That means we have 18 days and need about $2,400. That's just $133.33/day - which I think is doable!

Trust - we know gas (and everything else) isn't cheap right now, so if you'd can't give, we totally understand. If you can, please remember every little bit counts and, through the Educational Foundation of Watertown, all donations are tax deductible. Watertown, let's do this! It can be 100 people at $24 or 2,400 people at $1 each.

Owning and running your own small business is incredibly rewarding and, yet, it certainly comes with its challenges. We were planning on being open this weekend with our small and amazing crew taking the helm while baker April was recovering from surgery. Sometimes, even with the most perfectly laid out plan, something comes up. One of our crew is suddenly out sick making it too challenging to get everything ready for the weekend with the quality we (and you) expect. With that, we're making the tough choice to close for this weekend.

It's made harder by the fact that we already planned to be closed next weekend (5/1-5/2) because baker April will still be recovering from surgery and one of our (again, amazing) team members will also be having surgery and out for recovery. Getting older sucks sometimes! 😂

At the end of the day, the health and well-being of our entire team is our top priority. We look forward to healing and bringing delicious treats back to you May 8 & 9! Thank you for your patience, kindness and support!

ARRRRRRRRRRRRGH ya ready for the Storybook Walk today!? We are! With pirate-themed treats like Berry'd Treasure and Yo Ho Hos cheesecake, Spiced Rum Pecan Pie and more, there's something for the inner pirate in all of us!

Be sure to stop at all of the participating downtown businesses and a huge thanks to Literatus & Co. and Ava's a posh boutique for putting it together! Don't forget to catch a free showing of the Robin Williams classic, Hook, playing at The Towne Cinema!

Do you have a child pirate-in-training at home? If so, stop by the bakery where we have build a pirate kits (while supplies last).
