I heard it's National Garlic Day so I figured it was the perfect time for an update!

First picture is from March 8th.

They've been growing like crazy in the fridge with nothing but water. I have offered occasionally time in the sun outside so they can harden off and photosynthesis. I have no idea if that's actually necessary, but it seemed logical. 😅

I was always curious how one clove multiples into a bulb. The last two pictures shows the clove opening up to form additional cloves.

We'll see how the rest of this experiment goes! Hoping to plant these soon!

I told myself that once we finished the last of the mayo that I'd try making my own. It takes a handful of ingredients you probably already have, but only very small amounts! In terms of price, it's only slightly cheaper to make your own (assuming you buy name brand).

Of course, I had to try it on my garlic herb sourdough that I baked tonight. It was delicious! I just added it back to the cleaned out jar. We'll see if my husband notices!

10/10 - recommend this recipe. I added a little extra salt.
