If you’ve noticed I’ve been a little quieter than usual over here, I wanted to share why.

This past week our family faced a scary emergency with our cat, Taco. He suffered a life-threatening urinary blockage, and for a while we weren’t sure we’d get to bring him home.

Thankfully, we did.

Like so many unexpected things in life, it also came with an emergency vet bill that wasn’t in anyone’s plans. It was one of those moments that reminds you how quickly life can change.

One of the greatest gifts of owning a small business is that every loaf of bread, every muffin, every cookie, and every order means something beyond what’s in the bag. Your support helps our family through life’s unexpected moments, and this week was a reminder of just how grateful I am for this little community we’ve built together.

So thank you.

Thank you for ordering, sharing my posts, telling your friends about my bakery, stopping by Hansen’s and believing in this dream. You may think you’re “just buying bread,” but you’re supporting a real family through the highs and the lows of life.

Taco is finally home, resting comfortably, and I’m slowly getting caught up on baking with a very grateful heart. I can’t wait to get back in the kitchen for all of you. ❤️

Some moments feel extra special, and this is definitely one of them. ❤️

Ever since moving to the Cedar Valley in 2021, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside and for some truly incredible locally owned businesses. Through my time at SingleSpeed Brewing and Sidecar Coffee, I’ve seen firsthand the heart, hard work, and community that make local businesses so special.

I’ve also had ties to Hansen’s throughout my years here. From the guys delivering milk and other local goods to both SingleSpeed and Sidecar, Hansen’s has always been one of those beloved local businesses I’ve been lucky enough to work alongside. So, to now see that relationship grow and flourish in a whole new way feels incredibly special.

Which brings me to this exciting announcement…

Crumb & Get It! is now available at Hansen’s Dairy in Cedar Falls! 🎉🍞

To say I’m honored would be an understatement. As a small home bakery owner, being welcomed into another family-owned business feels like such a full-circle moment.

At the end of the day, I’m just a mom who desperately wants to show up for her kids—to be at the practices, the competitions, the school events, and all of life’s little moments in between. Building Crumb & Get It! from my home has given me the opportunity to do just that, and for that, I will be forever grateful.

There have been plenty of early mornings, late nights, flour-covered kitchens, moments of doubt, and more than a few “what in the sourdough is happening?!” moments along the way—but this community continues to show up and support local in the most amazing ways.

If you’ve ever bought a loaf, shared a post, told a friend about my bakery, or simply cheered me on from the sidelines—thank you. You are helping support my family, helping me be present for my girls, and making this little dream grow bigger than I ever imagined. ❤️
