Good morning friends! 🤍
Every loaf of sourdough I make comes with a care instruction card because I want you to enjoy it at its best. Fresh sourdough doesn’t contain preservatives so storing it properly makes a big difference!
For the best flavor and texture, enjoy your loaf within 2–3 days. Store it in the paper bag or a bread box at room temperature to help preserve the crispy crust. Please don’t refrigerate it as the fridge will dry it out much faster.
If you won’t finish your loaf within a few days, I recommend to slice it first (but whole is fine) then place it in a freezer bag and freeze it for up to 6 months. When you’re ready to eat it, thaw and pop a slice in the toaster.
If your bread starts to lose its crispness after a day or two, run some water right on top of the loaf before warming it in the oven at 300 degrees for 10-15 mins. This will bring that beautiful crust right back (please just trust me lol)
I put a lot of love into every loaf and I hope these little tips help you enjoy your sourdough to the fullest.
