Hi All, This is JoAnn. I have some news to share that is difficult, but necessary. I'm going to be leaving AK very soon. Don will be staying and he'll keep the bakery open. There's a lot of moving parts to this decision and that's not the focus of this post.
There's no possible way for me to say good bye individually, to ALL the wonderful people that I've had the honor to serve since we bought the bakery in Nov 2019. So I'm doing it here. You've become friends and family. And I appreciate every single one of you! Please be good to the team as they transition through this change. They are kids and they need your grace right now too! I don't know for sure when I'll be back. But I can't see myself leaving Alaska forever. The Last Frontier has a way of getting in your soul. ❤️ I love you all. Thank you for your love. And know that HOB Wasilla will still serve you with excellence. 🙋‍♀️🥲💞

Today we want to recognize three of our amazing employees. Casey, Ivana, and Trekker have been with us since day one. Ivana stayed with us when we took over HOB, Casey was our first hire at the bakery and Trekker was right after. It’s their last summer with us as they’re all getting ready to graduate from college. We are forever grateful for the hard work, dedication, and fun they’ve brought to our store.
