I earned my BJJ Blue Belt!!! This milestone is extra special and feels a bit surreal, alot has happened in my life leading up to this. For years I’ve been burdened with a debilitating pain condition. I didn’t think I would ever be able to train in jiujitsu so I settled on just being grateful the girls could. Thank God for holistic and nutritional therapies, I have been healing, improving my quality of life and finally being able to train. And when my world shattered two yrs ago it’s been a therapeutic outlet where I’ve been grappling with grief and self defeating beliefs. It’s made me mentally, emotionally and physically stronger. It’s given me confidence and has helped me put a better version of myself back together. The camaraderie has been a life saver for me and the girls. Honestly, not sure how we would be coping without this space. I’m super grateful for the entire Fusion fam, Professor Reis, Coach Aaron Pincus, especially my Coach Jennifer Hansen Reis who knew I needed BJJ and kept inviting me to join, the Fusionladysharks who make me tough and give me crap if I don’t come to class. And my two favorite grapplers Jade & Sage who inspire me, rough me up, push me to train hard and just really want me to stop getting injured so I can keep going!

My sweet baby girl turned 13 yesterday! Sage is such a loyal, kind, funny, ambitious and strong young lady. She makes me sooo proud. I love being her Mama, she has pushed me to grow in so many ways. This is the reason I do not use any artificial coloring or flavoring in any of my desserts. This is also the nutritional standard we adhere to in our household. My husband and I are very careful with how we nourish ourselves and more importantly how we nourish our children.
