Closing October 30th
Hey everyone!
My name is James, and I am Ron and Marsha's son. We just wanted to take a moment to reach out to our local
community and let them know the plans going forward with our donut shop!
We survived the pandemic thanks to this amazing community and the support of so many wonderful people.
During this time, we have reflected on the blessings and the hardships that come with owning a business. No
doubt it comes with many of both!
Marsha, the current owner, is finally ready to retire and enjoy the adventures that life still has in store for her.
My wife Chelsi and I have long considered buying the business and expanding it into something amazing, to
reach out and impact even more communities through all our work with local charities, fundraisers, schools,
and churches.
During this time, we have come to the realization that we have hardly lived a life of our own over the last nine
years since we became married. Small business can be amazing, and it can be quite a struggle at times. We
have come to the decision that we want to enjoy the rest of our lives living an adventure that has more time for
friends and family, hobbies, children, and the freedom to live a life outside the 24/7 constant connection of being always dialed in and going on about the business.
This by no means, means we failed, or that you should feel sorry for us. We have simply chosen to explore
more of life and what it has to offer than what we have been able to over all these years.
With this being said, October 30th, 2022, will be our final day in business folks!
The best part of being in business for over 44 years is the community that you become so engrained in. We
have spent our lives bringing smiles and memories to thousands of people and in return have known a love that
many people never will. The birthdays, retirements, graduations, weddings, and many other events that we
were a part of, by providing delicious donuts and baked items, has been an honor for us.
The employees we have had over the years have taught us more than we ever taught them and just knowing
such fine, amazing people has broaden our views on employer/employee relationships and how important it is
to treat each other like equals and always leading with love and respect.
It is not a sad goodbye, as we plan to embark on many new adventures and are excited to see what life has
ahead for all of us.
Remember most importantly:
Lead with love
Do good and be good
Always look to serve
This is not goodbye my friends, just a farewell until we meet again!
