Hey guys, I'm sorry for posting so late but, Val's Gourmet is on the move again. We will no longer be in the Harbor District Market. Not for any ill feelings, its just a business and family decision. That being said, we are still here for you. Val's will now be located in the Beaufort Marketplace. If you remember, this building used to be the old Mount Olive College. If you're missing your favorite cakes, or pastas or sauces or whatever it may be, that's where they will be. Saturday the 25th was our last day at the Harbor District Market. You may not see us there but as I mentioned before, We're still here for you. If you'd like to place a cake order, just keep doing what you're doing. Call Val at 252-402-0582 or Arthur at 252-833-9214 and we will certainly take care of you as usual. It was truly a pleasure to be downtown and being a part of the Harbor District Market. We started out there as a business and are so grateful for that. We appreciate all of our customers old and new in downtown Washington and hope that you will continue to get all of your sweet treats from Val's.
BTW the Beaufort Marketplace's hours are as follows.
Monday- Friday 10am to 7 pm
Saturday- 9am- 6pm
Sunday- Closed

Don't forget, the market hours are now Wednesday-Friday 10-5 and Saturday 9-4. They will start opening again on Tuesdays in March.🙂

Hey Guys, I just want to let you know that The Harbor District Market District Market will be open on Tuesday 12\23 from 10 am to 5pm and on Wednesdsay 12\24 from 10am to 2pm to celebrate the Christmas holiday and will not reopen until January 3rd 2026. If you ordered anything in the time that the Market will be closed, please call 252-402-0582 so we can arrange pick up or delivery options. if you don't call me, I will give you a courtesy call. By the way, in case you didn't know, some of our products are available at the Beaufort Marketplace the old Mt Olive College building on Hwy 264. There, we will be set up outside on Saturday. Look for the big Grey Tent. We also have products available at the Thirsty Mermaid in Bath 103 S. Main street. Guys, please enjoy this holiday season and have a wonderful and prosperous New Year

Hey y'all, Val's has condensed our stall to a Grab and Go situation at the Market. Because of this, we will not be carrying a variety of whole cakes like we used to. However, we will still have a variety of slices. If you need a whole cake please call at least three days in advance to order one. The number to call is 252-402-0582. Please note that if we aren't at the Market we are still open. You may grab anything that you want and pay for it at the front desk. The market is open from 10am to 5pm Tuesday- Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays. thank you for your understanding. We're looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Guys, I know that I don't post much, but I have to tell you this. If you live in Bath and come all the way to Va'ls for your sweet treats, Stay home. Our cake slices, Jams, Jellies and pickles are in Bath at The Thirsty Mermaid. The address is 103 S, Main Street where the old Swindells store used to be. Tamara has the cutest coffee shop there with great coffee and teas. You can grab some coffee and a snack, sit down and get on your laptop, read a book or do a puzzle. Go and see Tamara. The Thirsty Mermaid is a very nice place to visit.

Hey Ya'll, I hope this does not cause any inconvenience but, althouigh the Harbor District Market opens at 10am Tuesday - Friday and 9am on Saturtday, Val's Gourmet will be opening at 11am Tuesday-Friday and ay 10am on Saturdays. If you would like to place an order, please do so between these hours and we will be more than happy to help you. Thank you in advance for your understanding and we will see you guys soon.

Hey Y'all, it was surely lovely to be at 138 S. Market street in our little store but, we are moving back into the Harbor District Market. Yep, we're going back home where we started. 140 W. Main street. we are in the process of moving now and will be closed today 2-24-25 and Monday 2-25-25. However, if you would like to place an order please call 252-402-0582 or 252-833-9214 for the time being. This will change when we get verything up and running. We should be fully up and running by the first of March or earlier. Sorry I dont have an exact date yet but, we'll keep you posted. Please feel free to spread the word and post on your social media about our move. We would certainly appreciate that. The Market hours of operation will be Tues-Friday 10am to 5pm Sat 9am to 5pm. Hi guys, Val’s will be closing today Nov 27 at 3 pm and will be closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving. We will reopen on Saturday Nov 29 at our regular time 11-5. Happy Thanksgiving
