Since we are closing, we have a store full of items we are selling at discounted prices. Some items are bakery/catering-specific (like hotel pans), and other items would be useful in many industries (party favor baskets, kids scissors, beverage dispensers, table cloths, etc).

A lot of these items you may actually want for personal use! We have such a variety of things, from bakery equipment to shipping/packing boxes, even a humidifier 😀

My fellow dough lovers,

This month, The Dough Jar will be closing up shop. You might immediately be wondering, is this because of Covid? The answer is yes and no. No, we are not 'going out of business' because of Covid. Because of your unwavering support, we survived! When the country shut down last year, you opened your hearts - and your delivery apps - and ordered so much cookie dough that we were able to stay open. We are honored that our cookie dough has brought you joy even in the most crazy and scary of times.

For many, including myself, the pandemic has given us time to reflect. Over the last almost-six years, it has been a dream come true for me to make your childhood dreams come true of safely sneaking cookie dough out of the mixing bowl. Going from making small batches of cookie dough in my kitchen...to pop ups in AdMo, Shaw, Tyson's...to building my own shop in Georgetown...it's be a wild ride. During this past year, though, I've realized that I have new dreams, and it's time for the next chapter.

Thanks to my team throughout the years for delivering warm customer service and sharing their genuine love of our desserts with you. And thank you, our customers, for supporting my small business and sharing your infectious smiles with my team and me. It has been a true partnership, and none of this would've been possible without you.

Our last day will be July 21, or until we sell out of cookie dough. We still have cookie dough and baked desserts at the Georgetown scoop shop, and we hope you'll stock up! (The dough lasts one month in the fridge and six months in the freezer.)

Please order online for local delivery within the beltway, stop by the store for takeout, or find us on your favorite delivery app. We can't wait to see you one last time!
