One last trip before school starts! This is total downtime (maybe not total because, you know, grandkids 😉) but it’s good to be out of our usual environment for a minute and spend some quality time with the girls. We even stopped to see baby brother on the way! ☀️

Yesterday was lots of fun! It was HOT 🥵 but we cooled off at the pool, ate good food, drank many drinks, got to know our neighbor better, set the truck on fire 🔥 (yikes!) and of course, we played games!!!! What a day

Happy birthday, Stephen! Even though you are not physically here with me, I can feel you all around. You are my shining light and when I think of that beautiful smile of yours it makes my soul happy. Grief does not have the last word, it’s just the sadness that’s there when I take a deep inhale. That shakiness at the end of my breath lets me know that I still miss you. You would’ve been 40 but instead you’re and you are forever my son—the one who made me a mama.

I’m working on ME for a change! If you have any nutritional ideas/suggestions for me, comment and I’ll try it out. I’m working on a goal but I like taking the natural, organic route and I am tired of paying $$$ to lose weight!

About yesterday! It was the last day of school for us at in the middle/high school. There were tears 😭 (students) and so much joy and happiness (teachers). The kids were kinda feral this year but lowkey we are going to miss them rascals. It’s a wrap…what a sweet ending to my eighth season at
