When bread comes out of the oven into a cooler environment, you can hear it "sing" for a couple minutes. It crackles pretty softly, so you'll probably have to turn your sound up. This was a Valentine's Day loaf duet.

Thanks so much for 50 likes already! A couple orders have already been fulfilled. Spock oversaw today's baking ๐Ÿ• Each of the breads from the menu has been ordered at least once and I've gotten requests for a whole variety of loaves. Hopefully I'll have some rye breads available next week. I'll update the menu as more bread varieties become available. I daydream about โ€˜Brรถtchenโ€™

In 2017 I started baking breads and was having lots of fun with it. This past Christmas I got some new books that have really helped me improve my bread making. The recipes I use right now are very simple: flour, water, salt, and yeast. No preservatives or other additives and every step is done by hand. Iโ€™ve been on a baking spree this month and have been using every get-together as an excuse to make more bread. Iโ€™m thankful to everyone who tasted my earlier breads and gave me input or encouraged me to stick with it. Many loafs later, I have a bread that Iโ€™m very happy to share with others. It might be fitting that Iโ€™m fulfilling my first orders for people from my old school, the German School of Washington DC (now known as the German International School). Iโ€™m excited to bake bread for people that I know are missing German bakeries. I intend to master some specifically German recipes (yes, Brรถtchen included) this year, so that I can give anyone a taste of German baking in DC. If you would like to order bread from me, check out the menu and send me a message!
