Hi, my name is Olena, and as long as I can remember myself - pastry craft has been more than just a profession to me. I see it as a way to connect with the world.
Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, I am now based in Washington, D.C. And of course, I brought my craft with me, carrying the scent of vanilla, the tang of lemon, the crackle of flaky pastry, and the comfort of naturally leavened bread.
It all began in my kitchen in Kyiv: late nights with some nervous excitement, my first orders, filled with hope and doubt. Since then, it’s been 16 years of ongoing study: starting at KICA, numerous European pastry schools, learning from chefs whose names are celebrated worldwide. But at heart, I’m still a young Olena by the oven, pouring love into every whisk and fold.
🍰 I make European desserts, cakes, pies, and many variations of sourdough bread, using only natural, high-quality ingredients. I prefer small batches, keeping focus on balance of flavor, texture, and soul. Because food is more than a mere commodity - it’s memory, care, and emotion.
It’s my way of welcoming you into my world.
