Hello scone (and dog!) lovers! 🐶

All our pups are here to remind you to purchase your scones tomorrow morning at 11am EST!

You’ve seen our faces and heard our stories, now’s your chance to get in on the action and support our cause! 🐾❤️

This month our rescue partner is 🐶 We’ll be donating half of all the proceeds from tomorrow’s sales to them 🐾

Little Black Dog Rescue gets their name because they focus on black dogs, who are often overlooked for adoption 🥺 but they don’t stop there! They are committed to helping dogs of all colors and breeds find their forever homes so that no pup gets overlooked due to their appearance ❤️

They are committed to making the adoption process better for the dogs and for families trying to find their perfect pet in the DMV area. They take time to write detailed profiles and descriptions of their pups and they make sure to take the time to respond to every call, email, or inquiry they receive so that everyone feels heard and valued ❤️

Our final flavor release this week is a delicious new addition to our lineup - Chocolate Orange aka “The Max”! 🍊 🍫

Max is a nine month old “Mississippi Mutt” who found his way to Fairfax, VA through 🐾

Max was surrendered with his three siblings when he was just a pup, but his family knew he was destined to be theirs when they observed his gentle, sweet nature and love for their two year old toddler ❤️ 🐶

They also loved his remarkable eyes and named him after former pitcher who also has heterochromia ⚾️

Max says he loves representing a scone that brings together two bold, but different flavors - the tart orange zest is balanced perfectly with the sweet, rich chocolate making for a complex and delicious treat! (Max’s mom also says this flavor is a perfect fit for his mischievous personality - sometimes sweet, sometimes tart, but ultimately an exciting balance 😉 )

Max has been known to counter-surf when his humans aren’t looking, so he advises you to sniff on over to the website this Thursday at 11am to place your order, and then stow your scones directly on the counter for safe keeping - he’ll keep an eye on them for you! 😜

Our ninth flavor release this week is a classic and delicious combo, Brown Sugar Cinnamon - aka “The Greta”! 🐶 🐾

“Empress Greta” as she is formally known, is as regal as her name implies. She is an eight-year-old German Shepard who found her dad when she was about to be surrendered at the kennel where he was working.

He wasn’t sure his apartment could accommodate such a large dog, but after seeing her oversized ears, beautiful markings, and regal demeanor, he felt and immediate connection and knew he had just found one of his best friends 🥰

Empress Greta is living large these days in Washington DC 🇺🇸 You can find her sniffing the streets of Trinidad or bouncing around the dog park.

This scone hopes to be as royal as Greta and gets pretty close with its rich cinnamon and brown sugar chips. Added oats help make this cinnamon glazed scone extra chewy and ensure it’s a perfect fall breakfast (or lunch, or dinner, we’re not here to judge 🐶)

Our eighth flavor release this week is NEW to our lineup and just in time for fall - introducing Maple & Toasted Walnut aka “The Alan”! 🍁

Alan is a 3.5 year old wirehaired pointer/pittie mix, though his humans are convinced he might be part goat 🐐

Alan was a surrendered hunting dog who found his family through . Mom says he was extremely timid at first but immediately bonded with her other resident pup and she knew he was right at home with his new sister 🏡🐶❤️

His mom says he’s now grown into “a spunky, playful pup who loves to go for long walks and start/end each day with snuggles!” We can’t argue with Alan’s priorities! 🐾

Alan says he’s really excited to represent a scone flavor like his sister and says this oat scone with maple syrup and toasted candied walnuts is the perfect way to kick off fall 🍂🍁

Our seventh flavor release this week is for our savory fans - Bacon Cheddar Jalapeño aka “The Rafi”! 🧀 🥓

Rafi is a seven-year-old lab/pitbull mix who found his mom and dad through a rescue in Arkansas called “Dog Tired Ranch.”

Rafi was mom Elena’s first dog and they were both a little nervous when they met for the first time. Elena said she couldn’t resist his little socks and big puppy dog eyes 🧦🥺

When mom and dad first brought Rafi home, he was only six months old and scared of everything. He shook a lot and was afraid to leave the apartment. However, with love and time he began to start wagging his tail and eventually came to love walks - especially when he could pounce on leaves 🍁 🐶💕

Rafi has grown into a 75lb lap dog who loves snuggling with mom and dad and hanging out with his brother JoJo. We love to see how far he’s come 🤗

He’s excited to represent this flavor as he’s a big fan of cheese 🧀 he’s also happy to know that the bacon used in the scone is soy based, so it is still vegetarian 🤗 This scone has a subtle heat as well with fresh jalapeños 🔥

Did you know this month marks ONE YEAR of Sit Stay? That’s like seven years in dog years! 🐶 We’re using our sixth flavor release this week to celebrate - Birthday Cake aka “The Felix”! 🥳🎂

Felix is a five-year-old “mixed-mutt-adorable” breed who found his home through 💕 When he was only two, he was brought into a shelter as an emaciated, timid pup in South Carolina. City Dogs Rescue brought him to DC where he found his loving family ❤️🐾

They said they couldn’t resist his big brown eyes (which he gets loads of complements on – and we see why.) While he started out shy and afraid of walks, with a solid diet and lots of TLC, he blossomed into an exuberant dog who loves swimming, treats (same), and all humans 🤗

Felix says he enjoys the sweeter things in life 😋 and couldn’t be more excited to represent such a yummy flavor. This buttery vanilla scone is packed with sprinkles on the inside and on top. Perfect for celebrating a festive occasion, or just making it through a year and a half in quarantine😅

Felix says you should order his scone Thursday to treat yourself, and while you’re at it, he kindly requests that you order a second scone to share 😉

Our fifth flavor release this week is Lemon Poppyseed – aka “The Luna” 🍋 🐕 🌙

Luna is a two-year-old Golden Retriever/Border Collie mix who found her mom, through 💕

While you might find her sniffing out the streets of Logan Circle, her favorite place is the beach where she loves to splash around 🌊 and make friends with (or if that fails, chase after) seagulls🐦

Her mom knew Luna was meant to be hers when she saw her scruffy blonde hair and serious puppy dog eyes 👱🏻‍♀️ 🐶

This scone is almost as bright and beautiful as Luna. It’s a sweet scone flavored with freshly squeezed lemons and has poppyseeds mixed throughout. It’s topped with a lemon zest glaze for a touch of sweetness 🍋

Our fourth release this week is an homage to (the best) Halloween candy - Reese’s aka “The Lucy”! 🥜 🍫

Lucy is a boxer/pitbull mix who found her family through the Cleveland Tennessee Animal Control. She was only a pup at the time, but her eyes and ears were still just as big 🥺

Mom and dad couldn’t resist that sweet face and expressive floppy ears and knew she needed to be a part of their family.

Lucy now calls Virginia home and has grown into “the sweetest and most loving couch potato you’ll ever meet!” 🥔 ❤️ When she’s not snuggling on the couch, she likes to hang out with her two feline brothers Hexum and Peanut 🐱🐱

Lucy is excited to represent this flavor because she gives peanut butter two paws up. She says mom and dad generally keep her away from chocolate but she still thinks this oat scone with swirls of peanut butter, chocolate chunks, and crumbled Reese’s cups is perfectly balanced.

She says it’s ALMOST as sweet as she is, and recommends you order one Thursday morning, just in time to indulge for Halloween! 👻

Our third flavor release this week packs a little heat 🔥Spicy Dark Chocolate - aka “The Odi” 🍫 🌶

Odi is a diplomatic pooch who found his family through the aka “JAAN” in Indonesia 🇮🇩

JAAN is committed to helping end the dog meat trade and other forms of animal cruelty in Jakarta. Odi’s dad is a Foreign Service Officer (and mom is about to be one too!) 🤗

When they first met Odi in Indonesia, they said his expressive eyes and sweet, calm demeanor made him irresistible 💕

Odi is always up for an adventure and found the perfect humans for him. While he currently calls DC home, his next adventure is to head to Nairobi, Kenya! 🇰🇪

Odi says he’s thrilled to represent such an interesting flavor. This buttermilk oat scone has chewy texture with dark chocolate bits is accented with hints of cayenne for a little kick in every bite! 🔥

Our second flavor release this week is just in time for - Pumpkin Spice aka "The Remus"! 🎃 🍂🍁

Remus is a four-year-old border collie who was abandoned on the side of the road as a puppy in Lexington, KY with his sibling. His mom saw a picture of him, so tiny and helpless, and knew she wanted to give him a safe, warm, and loving home 🥰

Since being adopted, Remus has settled right in with him mom. He loves to snuggle up for naps, indulges his mom in wearing matching outfits, and is always up for an adventure.

Remus is a pup who loves living his basic fall life with mom, and can be spotted in flannel, with a puppuccino, and sniffing out the best pumpkin in the pumpkin patch 🎃

Remus wants to remind everyone that the leaves are falling and autumn is calling 🍁 and that this flavor will pair perfectly with all your fall outings. For our first flavor release this week, we’re welcoming back a classic fall favorite - Apple Cinnamon aka "The Ripken"! 🍏 🐶

Ripken is a seven-year-old yellow lab who found his fur-ever family through the Labrador Rescue of the Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac. He is bursting with excitement for scones and animal rescues! He wants to remind folks that even if you have your heart set on a certain breed - there are often breed specific rescue organizations out there to pair you with your perfect match!

He was found enjoying the great outdoors in rural Virginia. His dad knew he was meant to be theirs when he couldn't contain his excitement and literally bowled over his mom upon their first meeting 🎳❤️

This scone fits his sweet personality and is a buttermilk oat scone with grated apple, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a tart apple cider glaze. We highly recommend pairing it with your morning coffee, ideally while wearing your first flannel of the season🍂🍁☕️
