For my 23rd birthday, I made a brown butter vanilla cake with a cream cheese whipped cream, filled with homemade strawberry and peach jam and Dulce de leche. When I was thinking of the flavor I wanted, I remembered seeing extra brown butter cake post and knew that was what I wanted. When I went back to the post to make my cake, I realized Jeremy had made a brown butter vanilla cake for HIS 23rd birthday as well, what a coincidence! I’m so happy with how this cake turned out, I couldn’t stop eating it lol

Our next stop was for their well-known cinnamon rolls! We also tried their peanut butter cookie and “Kessler-doodle”. The cinnamon rolls were amazing! They were very soft and covered in cream cheese frosting, with a thick chewy-caramel-like syrup underneath. Although the peanut butter cookie was a bit harder than I prefer, the flavor was delicious and had the perfect amount of sweetness; the cookie had actual peanuts dispersed throughout, which I really enjoyed as well.

I got to try the - approved Sweet Potato Thang from . Apart from the Sweet Potato Thang, they have a wide variety of cakes, cheesecakes, cobbler, and pudding by the slice/in individual portions. The Sweet Potato Thang was delicious, and a good choice for those who aren’t a fan of overly-sweet desserts

I spent a week in Dallas visiting and tried some amazing desserts! My first stop was We got the OG, the biscoff chip, and the better than s*x cookie. My favorite was the OG; the edges were slightly crispy while the inside was soft and slightly underbaked. Although I like underbaked cookies, the center was a bit too raw for me. I really enjoyed the “create your own cookie” option; this is a really cool concept that is worth checking out!
When it comes to cookies, do you prefer them slightly underbaked or slightly over baked?

I recently tried a local black-owned cookie business (.co ) and HAD to share with y’all! PLEASE GIVE THIS BUSINESS A TRY!! Cookie Yay is run by a father-daughter duo and they offer a variety of flavor options from traditional chocolate chip to unique flavors like their Passion Fruit Grape cookie. I ordered the vegan double chocolate chip cookie (they sell primarily non-vegan cookies, I just chose to try one of their vegan options) and not only was it one of the BEST cookies I have tasted, it was the BEST customer service that I have ever experienced! When I placed my order, I accidentally clicked pick-up instead of delivery and I was not in the position to pick it up. I emailed them about this and they kindly fixed my order and shipped it to me. Unfortunately, for some reason I never received the original shipment. When I followed up, they offered to deliver it locally. On top of this, there was a glitch in their website that showed a much lower price for the cookies than normal (which has now been fixed!), yet they honored the price that was on their website when I placed my order.
The cookie itself was soft and chewy and filled with chocolate chunks; it was better than most non-vegan double chocolate chip cookies I have tasted!
