And so it begins again. The big baking, the 200 loaves of sweet breads. I am so lucky to have my apprentice again, who will now be my paid employee. We start tomorrow with the Pumpkin Cranberry breads. Today is get prepped, and remember to turn on the freezer, inside the freezer.

Today was day 4, of baking my sweet breads, with my apprentice, Sydney. We made Carrot bread, and Sydney got to use the food processor. I am baking less, and what a joy to have such great help! We have 1 more go round, the Blueberry breads, and then before school starts, a baking day making something fun! Not sure what that will be.

Today I made a Strawberry/Rhubarb pie, with a cornmeal topping for a new customer. Then I made an Almond cake with the cornmeal. My friend brought the cornmeal back from Virginia for me. It is so soft and unbelievable for baking. Thank you Bridget.

Wondering where I have been? I got shingles, and then I fell and I injured my right hand. Still in recovery mode, and my hand is getting a second opinion next week, as to whether or not it is broken. This has taken a toll on my baking, making etc. I wasn't able to take any orders for Thanksgiving, and I won't be able to take any for the holidays either. Hopefully 2019, will start off better then 2018 is ending for me. But, I still have my positive, joyful out look on life, I think in a forward direction, and I live one day at a time.

BANANA BREAD, BLUEBERRY BREAD, CARROT BREAD AND ZUCCHINI BREAD, ARE ALL AVAILABLE NOW. IN OCTOBER, THERE WILL BE PUMPKIN CRANBERRY BREAD.

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES, OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES, AND MY FAMOUS APPLEWOOD BROWNIES.

What's been happening with Pie Crust Bakery? Well, I switched hats for awhile, to concentrate on SMB Designs, the sister to the bakery. SMB Designs, is my button jewelry and my aprons. It also my sewing service for alterations, etc. But now the sewing machine, buttons, thread and needles are put away, and it is full on production in the kitchen. Yup, it's sweet bread baking time, and today it's Banana Bread. 48 loaves will be tucked into the freezer this evening. Next up, Pumpkin Cranberry.

I've been busy baking, getting ready for another fall, making all my goodies for Applewood Orchards. PLEASE NOTE: Applewood Orchards is now, Apple Dave's Orchard. Same great place, same wonderful people, and the same yumminess from my kitchen!! My first delivery is this Saturday morning, 9/12. Sweet breads, zucchini, carrot, blueberry, banana, and pumpkin/cranberry in October. My famous Applewood brownies, oatmeal raisin cookies, and chocolate chip cookies. They disappear quickly, so make sure you get to the orchard early, so you aren't disappointed.

Making an apple pie, with sour cream, and vanilla powder, instead of vanilla extract. The crumb topping has pecans. It's a new pie, for Pie Crust Bakery. I am working on new pies, for the upcoming holidays.
