NOW OFFERING LACTATION COOKIES!
I had a request for lactation cookies and i was beyond thrilled to jump on that train! Lactation cookies were a huge part of my breastfeeding journey with Talon. I would make a double batch and put 2 or 3 cookies in small baggies and then put them all in a big freezer ziplock bag and toss them in the chest freezer. Then first thing in the morning I would grab a small baggie out of the freezer and set it on the counter and would eat 1-3 throughout the day to insure I was helping maintain my milk supply as well as provide my own body with the nutrients I needed. Let's be real here, breastfeeding can completely consume you and I can't even count the times I would forget to feed myself because my main focus was feeding my child! I put a whole new spin on the lactation cookies I made in 2021 for myself and made them into sourdough lactation cookies and I'm obsessed! I was blessed in my milk production and would pump about 15-25oz every morning when I first woke up and then 10-20oz each time I pumped throughout the day (every 3-4 hours). I only breastfed/pumped for 6 months due to needing medication I couldn't take while breastfeeding, but I was thrilled that I was able to keep Talon on breastmilk for the first 14 months of his life and most of all I was BLESSED to donate over 2,000 oz to other babies in need! 💙❤️
