Spring Camping 2025🥾

What a truly great weekend we had! The weather was good, the scouts all had a great time exploring camp, playing air, water or crunch (a game they came up with playing with dead Lily pad flowers they were pulling out of the lake), making and racing their raingutter regatta boats, roasting hotdogs and making s'mores. A highlight was trying to solve riddles around the campfire, lots of questions, laughs and maybe some frustration! Oh and the hammocks! The scouts all LOVED getting to hang out and try hammocks! A couple even spent the night sleeping in them!

This is our last event for the (school)year! Next up is our final award ceremony!

Yesterday we had our End of Year Carnival!

I'm glad I took some pictures of our stations before the meeting because I was too busy during the carnival to take any! 😅

Our stations included...
-Skill Ball
-Ring Toss
-Pin the Nose on the Clown
-Frog Jumpers
-Face Painting
-Tattoos
-Ladders
-Nerf gun painting

Our Snacks were..
-Dutch oven donuts
-Lemon Shakeups

I think its safe to say the scouts had a GREAT time and went home with a few prizes and maybe a sugar rush! 😂

A couple weeks ago our scouts participated in Trash the Trash.

Scouts Trash the Trash Day is an international Messengers of Peace project for Scouts around the world, where each Scout is challenged to pick up at least one Kilo (2.2 pounds) of trash each on the first Saturday in May (we did this earlier closer to Earth Day).

The idea for Scouts Trash the Trash Day came from the scouts of Troop 1206 in Helena, Montana after realizing that there are several days throughout the year that Scouts get together and do the same thing on the same day. Days like Jamboree on the Air and Internet, Jamboree on the Trail, Trees for the World, World Neckerchief Day, but there was not a day for Scouts to all get together and clean up their communities. Thus Scouts Trash the Trash Day was started.

Scouts Trash the Trash Day is about more than just cleaning our planet, it is a day to show the world what Scouting is about, educate individuals about Scouting and recruit new boys, girls and adults into the Scouting movement.

Along with this our scouts went back over the Leave No Trace principals and how that ties into Trash the Trash!

Pack 50 went on a hike this past week 🥾

Our Webelos scouts used a map to determine which route to take to get to Fort Edwards and back to the Bott. During our hike our scouts had clip boards to make notes of signs of mammals, birds and insects as well as 5 things they wanted to remember from our hike.

It was a great day to get outside!

It's Scouting for Food time!

Our scouts will be out this weekend distributing door hangers around town. If you are interested in participating please place a bag of non perishable food outside next Saturday March 15th with the door hanger attached to the bag and our scouts will back around to collect them!

All your donations stay local and will go to the Warsaw Food Pantry.

Anyone who doesn't receive a door hanger but still would like to donate, there will be a basket up at the Bott for donations as well!

Blue & Gold 2025 💛💙

This year our pack hired a magician🎩🪄 to come perform during our banquet! He was wonderful- all the scouts and their families were amazed and laughing the entire time.

We awarded beltloops and pins that had been earned since our last award ceremony in October. Patches for participating in different pack and council events. 5 of our scouts earned their rank as well!

Such a fun evening with our scouts and their families!

We've been busy having fun!

°°Tonight was our Christmas party (pizza and bowling!).
°°Last Sunday we had our movie day at the Fox Theater as a prize for reaching our popcorn goal! We sold over $14,000 as a Pack! 🤯
°°Last Saturday we participated in the Christmas on Main gingerbread contest.
°°The week before we made Christmas Cookie and Birthday bags to give to the food pantry and 3 of our scouts attended the district's top 35 popcorn sellers spin and win!

I've slacked on taking pictures of all our meetings lately, but that doesn't mean we haven't been busy! 💛💙
