Good News Greenhouse

Good News Greenhouse We are a small, family-run greenhouse near Warroad, Minnesota, offering a variety of bedding flowers and garden vegetables.

We start all of our plants from seed, including our hanging baskets, so we are involved with each plant you buy from seed to sale.

If you still need any garden plants, we have a limited amount available. We started plants for family and friends and overestimated what we would need🙂. We have a table set up in our yard, and you are welcome to stop by and get what you want. We have a donation box if you want to donate a small amount to help cover our costs, but mostly we just want them gone so we don't have to plant them all😄. They will be available until Saturday evening. Just stop by and take what you want. We may or may not be home.

No strawberries this year, but we just put 3,000 plants in the ground today for next year. HUGE thanks to our friends who showed up to help. We thought it would take all day, but we were done by lunch!

Since we no longer are doing our greenhouse, I was going to close this page, but first I wanted to share our oldest son's new business. We are excited for him and his wife as they begin this new phase of life. If you need any tree work done, give him a call!🙂

👋 Meet Jon, the owner of Three Pines!

Jon and his wife, Kristi, got married in 2020 and are now parents to two beautiful children and two fur babies. Originally from Pennsylvania, Jon moved to Warroad, Minnesota, in 2009 with his parents and nine younger siblings. He started his career with various farming jobs, later transitioned to emergency medical services, and graduated from paramedic school. Afterward, Jon relocated to Detroit Lakes when he secured a job as a paramedic with Essentia Health. It was in Detroit Lakes that he met Kristi, who was born and raised in the area. Eventually, Jon decided to leave EMS and discovered his passion for the outdoors, particularly in tree removals that require climbing and the use of chainsaws. Combining everything he loves—running heavy equipment from his farming days, high-angle rope climbing on the East Coast, and the thrill of adrenaline—Jon found his niche in the tree removal business.

What started as a career running a chainsaw for another large tree company quickly grew into something bigger when friends kept asking for help with tree work. A few years learning the trade, some new climbing gear, and some heavy equipment later, Three Pines Tree Service was born!

Need some tree work? Let’s make it happen! Give us a call today. 🌲🪓

SOLD OUT

We ended up with 8 extra flats of strawberries today, and we made it through our waiting list, so if anyone is interested, they are $22 a flat. I'll take the first people that ask, but we aren't putting names on our waiting list at this point since the season is winding down. We may post again next week if we end up with more.

Also, if you had asked to be on the list this year, and we missed you somehow, please message me, so we can make sure you get some.

Update: 4 flats still available.

Welcome to the new Warroad Country Corn Maze, Krahn Farm, page! Feel free to delete our previous page, hacked, and no longer available. We are excited to share with you all our 2024 fall season plans as the days go on! In case you missed it, Farmer Krahn just finished a new hayride trailer!

As we welcome in a new year, I typically post about our new seed orders we placed over the holidays. This new year, however, brings a new post for us. The time for ordering seeds has come and gone and we placed no orders.
With many mixed feelings, we have made the decision to no longer continue the greenhouse. Like a new year, we are entering a new phase of life with our children getting older and moving on with their own lives, and Bob and I getting older and moving less🙂.
We want to thank all of you who have been such loyal supporters of our little family business. You have helped us go on several amazing family vacations, taught our kids the value of hard work😄, and made us feel a part of your lives every time you saw us around and commented about your flowers and veggies.
I know come May, we are going to really miss standing out in the greenhouse and enjoying all the flowers and plants we poured months into, but God is good and we look forward to seeing where this new phase of life leads us.

Closing after this weekend!

Where did the time go? Seems like we just opened, and now the end is just a couple days away. 😮
Once again, family has kept us busy this last weekend, so I didn't get a post out sooner. Our youngest daughter, the one in charge of the greenhouse this year, graduated from high school on Sunday. Congratulations, Jenna!
If you still need anything before we close, everything we have left except the planters is marked down from now through Saturday.

We've been a little distracted by this sweet little blossom😊 Our newest granddaughter surprised us all and arrived a few weeks early, so forgive my "Grandma moment," but I just had to throw a picture on here. Memorial Day weekend is coming up, and we have lots of vegetable plants ready for their forever homes. 😀 If you still haven't put your garden in, we have a good selection of vegetables, herbs, and seeds. We also still have a wide variety of flowers. I thought I'd try to highlight some of the ones I haven't already mentioned.

We found a pair of glasses in the greenhouse. If anyone recognizes them, please let us know. Thanks!

Micah says, "Don't forget Mom!" If you still need an idea for Mother's Day, we have some beautiful hanging baskets, deck planters, some new planters Bob just made in his workshop, or a gift certificate if you can't decide.🙂🌸🌺🌼

Just a splash of color to brighten this cloudy day.🙂
