September 1st marks 12 years since our family took over Arnie’s Cafe. When I think about everything those 12 years have held, it’s hard to put into words what this little restaurant, and all of you…have meant to us.
We’ve weathered changing economies, rising costs, COVID-19, a move to a new location, staffing challenges, long days, early mornings, big wins, hard lessons and more “what the heck are we going to do now?” moments than I could possibly count. 😂
Then there was life outside these walls.
You stood beside our family and our team through unimaginable heartbreak, including the loss of our granddaughter. You gave us grace when we needed it, supported us when life was heavy, and reminded us that Arnie’s has become so much more than a place to grab breakfast.
You became part of our story. ❤️
To every person who has walked through our doors over the last 12 years, THANK YOU . Whether you come in every week, stop by when you’re visiting the coast, tell a friend about us, leave us a kind review, or simply choose to spend your hard-earned dollars with our little locally owned restaurant, you are the reason we are still here.
To our past and present Arnie’s team members, I owe you a very special thank you.
Owning a business means people put something incredibly important in your hands: their livelihood. I have never taken that responsibility lightly.
Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for taking a chance on this crazy ride. Thank you for showing up through the busy weekends, the slammed breakfast rushes, the changes, the challenges and the growing pains. Thank you for caring about Arnie’s, our customers and one another. Every person who has worn an Arnie’s apron has left a piece of themselves here and helped shape us into who we are today.
There have been plenty of ups, plenty of downs and definitely a few sideways moments along the way… but 12 years later, here we are.
Still cooking.
Still serving.
Still learning.
Still laughing.
Still incredibly grateful. ❤️
