DIBBS The name DIBBs is in loving memory of my beautiful grandson's Isaiah and Benji and their loving parents Destiny and Brandon, my oldest son.

Our Lord took them home on 7/3/24 and through the sea of grief I have found solace in baking and making soaps.

Today isn’t about sales, cookouts, or a long weekend.

It’s about the people who left home and never came back.

The ones who missed birthdays.
Missed first steps.
Missed growing old.

Because they chose to serve something bigger than themselves.

So today, we remember.
We honor.
And we say thank you.

Freedom was never free.

We're stoked another memorial weekend at Houghton Lake brought a crowd, and you all clearly love carbs because we're out of bread and almost out of sweet treats - thanks for devouring everything! A huge thanks to our fabulous customers for supporting our home bakery, it truly makes a difference and we're thrilled to have such a great bunch.🥰

Mistakes do not define who you are, what you do after them does.

All humans make mistakes. That part is unavoidable. No one gets through life without messing up, hurting someone, or choosing wrong at least once. Mistakes are part of being human, part of learning, part of growing. What truly matters is not pretending they never happened, but being honest about them.

Character is revealed in the response. Some people turn mistakes into excuses. They blame others, deny responsibility, or repeat the same behavior while asking for understanding. That is where growth stops. Excuses keep you stuck in the same patterns, reliving the same lessons over and over again.

Others choose reflection instead. They sit with the discomfort, admit where they were wrong, and learn from it. They let mistakes humble them instead of hardening them. They do better not because they are perfect, but because they are willing to evolve.

Growth happens when you take accountability without self hatred. When you forgive yourself but still hold yourself to a higher standard. Turning mistakes into lessons is how you become wiser, stronger, and more aware. And that choice says everything about the kind of person you are becoming.
