❤️ Did you know that by just giving $32, you'll cover the cost of a child receiving one free book each month for a whole year? I learned today that children who are blind receive a book written in braille 6 times a year. How amazing is that??

*Pickup is at Jefferson DeFrees Family Center in the FRONT OFFICE* Friday, Monday & Tuesday from 8:30-6. (please do not park in UFC parking lot) There are additional cookies for sale on the table in the lobby.

Venmo is accepted for orders taken online.

🍕Dinner tonight is covered! 🍕

Eisenhower Marching Band is having a fundraiser tonight from 4-7 at Eisenhower High School. Since my daughter is in the band, I made some cookies to go in their bake sale. ☺️

These kids (and adults) work super hard getting ready for competitions, and got asked to perform in the Veterans Day Parade in Washington DC this November!

Bucket Brigade Pizza Co. is donating 25% of sales to the band to help with the trip costs so come and get ya some pizza tonight!

🎨 I had the pleasure of making cookies - including 100 PYO (Paint Your Own) - for the Center’s Founding 50 Bedrock event.

The event was held to thank these charter members who provide the essential capital required for initial construction and exhibit design of the future children’s museum to be built right here in Warren! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

🌳 A Gap in the Landscape
In the heart of the Allegheny, our children are surrounded by world-class natural engineering and ancient forests. Yet for many local families, the nearest spark of interactive, hands-on STEAM education is hours away. Our youth deserve a home-grown space where “don’t touch” is replaced by “how does this work?” A place where the heritage of our region meets the technology of tomorrow.

🕶️ The Vision
The Kinzua Area Discovery Center is more than a museum; it is a possibility lab. From water-play exhibits inspired by the Dam to forest-themed climbing structures and maker-spaces, KADC will be the porch to the Allegheny; a place where play is the work of the future.
