While I didn’t make the Top 3 for Sussex County’s Best Bakery this year, I am incredibly humbled and honored to have been voted into the Top 5.

As a one-woman, NJ licensed home-based bakery competing alongside established brick-and-mortar bakeries that have been serving our community for 23, 30+ and even one in business 60+ years, simply being recognized among them is an achievement I never take for granted.

To everyone who nominated me, voted for me, shared my posts, and supported my small business along the way—thank you. Your support helped place To The Moon and Back Cupcakery among some truly outstanding bakeries, and for that I am beyond grateful.

This year may not have been the year for the Top 3, but being named a Top 5 finalist has only motivated me to work even harder. Let’s see if we can make it into the Top 3 next year!

Once again, I got so caught up in baking, decorating, and making sure everything was perfect that I completely forgot to photograph most of today’s order before it was boxed up and ready to go.
Thankfully, I did manage to snap a photo of this beautiful wedding cake before it went into its box!

When it's the baker's birthday and there's just the tiniest bit of chocolate cake batter left over, you know I'm not letting it go to waste!

So I whipped up a little 4" birthday cake for myself to celebrate with my hubby later tonight. Sometimes the sweetest treats are the unexpected ones.
