Hello and Happy New Year, Friends! I hope you are all well and in good health. 🥳

Popping in for a little update—while I originally estimated I’d be back to baking and fulfilling orders this coming Spring, I’ll be pushing my sabbatical out indefinitely at this time.

Newborn parenthood is both rewarding and challenging at the same time—many of you fellow parents can relate and I’m in awe of and have even more respect for all parents after having my baby girl!

That said, I’m going to be prioritizing my family and spending my late nights with my little babe rather than baking (since I will be returning to my day career starting late March).

Baking will always be one of my passions, but spending time with my smushy Iris O comes first.

This past weekend our sweet family and friends showered us and baby Iris with so much love! It was the most beautiful whimsical rainbow pastel/cutesy Halloween/dinosaur-themed fete 🌟 It was extra special because we got to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary and baby girl all in one weekend! 🥰

I insisted on making the earl grey sugar cookie favors for the party, and I had so much fun working with some of my favorite shapes 🦕👻🎃

We’re so thankful for our village of family and friends, and especially our dream team who made the day so wonderful!

Thirtyish and just trying to survive!

My best friends and I were born mostly in 1990, so many of my friends spent their 30th birthdays in quarantine, and haven’t been able to properly spend 31 together either. Today, some of us got together for brunch to celebrate the last couple years of birthdays, and it was so lovely!

Cheers to lifelong friendships, and to all of you who’ve had to postpone celebrating special milestones due to this pandemic. Hang in there!🥂

YES, I’m still on leave from baking, but I have a little more time on my hands now that I’m not studying. I decided to experiment with a new cookie flavor—these are fruity pebble white chocolate chip cookie bars, because fruity pebbles make me happy! 🥳

More personal bakes 🤍

These fresh edible flower cookies in vanilla chai, vanilla bean, and lemon vanilla, and ube fondant sugar cookies were specially crafted for my sweet cousin’s bridal shower that I co-hosted this past weekend! Trying something new with fresh florals was a fun new challenge that I look forward to trying again with different blooms in the future.

‘s bridal shower was so lovely and I adore how the entire dessert/grazing table came out. Peep the gorgeous cake by and the super trendy charcuterie cones by the bride herself!

Hello friends! It’s been a minute, so I wanted to pop in and say hello 👋🏽

I’m busy here at home, in week 3 of studying for my PHR, and as of today, I’m in week 15 of pregnancy! Baby is the size of an avocado 🥑

Remember the bunny cut-out chocolate chip cookies I made for Easter? Well, they were actually my cookies for our pregnancy announcement reveal for our immediate family and best friends! We actually only found out about baby the day before Easter, and didn’t know how far along we were, but wanted to take the time to announce to our families in person, since we didn’t know the next time we’d be altogether.

Please enjoy a peek at some of our little announcement bunnies (ran out of time to take photos of all of them)!

For those of you who are curious about some of the titles/names stamped on, Kevin and I are both Filipino American, so here’s a quick Tagalog lesson to help you understand the cookies better:

Lola = Grandma
Lolo = Grandpa
Ate = Older sister/older female relative
Kuya = Older Brother/older male relative
