As a gluten free bakery, we often get asked about how we make our baked goods. It’s “what flour do you use?”, “what ingredients are in this to give it this flavor?”, and “why is it this price?”. What often gets overlooked is the time, labor, and love that goes into each thing we make.
It’s more complex than buying ingredients and following a recipe. It’s the late nights that are spent on testing new ideas, the early mornings spent preparing for the next event, and the ultimate goal of making something better than just being “edible”.
Now you may ask “why do you do it” then. We do it for the kids who run up excited to finally have something safe to eat, for the person who hasn’t had their favorite treat in 20 years, and for those who have loved ones who struggle with food sensitivities.
So next time you visit us, remember all the work our team puts into our kitchen. It’s all out of love for the community that is often overlooked ❤️
