As the former owners and operators of Walla Walla’s Harvest Foods and it’s page and other social media outlets, I am taking advantage of what we created and to share some information of an opportunity for you that I am currently involved with: The Four Seasons.

The thing we missed most about leaving the store has been the people, our dear and talented team-members and you, our shoppers and suppliers. Especially in 2020 when Covid had us stuck at home; if you were like us, it got challenging and very isolating. We missed people! 2021 hasn’t been that much better but we do see light at the end of the tunnel for 2022.

For several years in the past, we have been members of a great organization that did things and got things done. Prior to Covid t allowed us to visit with, meet old and make new friends. We’ve been able to visit places in the Walla Wally Valley and surrounding area we hadn’t got to before, enjoyed great entertainment, tasted a variety of foods and shared excellent wine, and other beverages though its membership.

I’ve been its secretary for the past five years and have now taken on the responsibilities of social media and membership. Yep, you guessed it, this is a call for our 2022 membership drive. Why not use social media and the base we created with our Walla Walla Harvest Foods account to attract those of being like-minded: food, fun and friendship.

Though we retired and sold and dissolved the company on December 2nd, 2019, I haven’t been able for the live of me figure out how to delete that Facebook account. I’ve tried to do it, sent requests to Facebook, yet today, I still see where people still look at and use it. You must be one of those 2900+ individuals so that one of the reasons you are receiving this notification. You are what we are looking for, you must like food, fun and friends too. Though Walla Walla's Harvest Foods is no longer, it was a pleasant surprise to learn today that "Progressive Grocer", a national trade magazine, honored us for our efforts in supporting "Local" over the years. We couldn't have done it without great team members and wonderful farmers, producers and manufactures. Walla Walla should be extremely proud of their efforts. They provide, from their fields and farms, the great food and drink that we find on our forks and in our glasses. You guy and gals are the best!

Our "Candy Maker" snuck in this weekend and made a batch or two of his Fudge and Peanut Brittle. You can get a package of both for just $17.99. It's a great "Thank You" to your host; something they can enjoy later after the meal and the clean up.
