Hello my Cookie loving friends!

Can you believe it?!?! I'm here in Paris. The heat is cruel but to live this moment, I'll take it!

I'm so blessed to have this adventure. My classes are difficult because my professors will only speak French, sometimes it gets a little discouraging but they keep assuring me with enough exposure, I'll start picking up on the language.

I'm thankful to my school professor, Mr. Persson, for everything he taught me and his caring encouragement. I hope everyone has 'that' teacher that inspires them, he's mine!

I'm thankful to my family for helping to make this trip happen and just loving me so much.

I'm beyond thankful to every cookie bought by every one of you because it helped fund this amazing trip.

But mostly I'm thankful to my mom for being everything she is in my life. This trip has taught me how much I depend on her and how much she does for me. I'm realizing that I don't always see everything she does but this trip has opened my eyes.

I just can't believe I'm in Paris!

Today is the day! Soon, I'll put on my travel clothes, compression socks, beats, take a few melatonin gummies and settle into my flight. I'll dream of the excitement that awaits while missing who I leave behind.

It's been a lot of planning and working to pay and prepare for this trip and a lot of stress for my mom. But here it is, tomorrow morning I'll step into a new country that I'll call home for 3 weeks. Can you believe it... it's my own Hunter Addison in Paris show!

I'm such mix of emotions, excitement, fear, jitters, tears, I'm overwhelmed by the feelings that are flooding me, but for now, for right now, in this moment, I'm sitting down and enjoying this moment with my mom. There is nothing left but to enjoy what lies ahead of me!

Thank you mom for always letting me spread my wings in this world!

I have a lot going on in the coming weeks, Dance Nationals begin Thursday and extend through until Sunday, and I leave for Paris on the 25th! This will be my last open until after I return from Paris. Can you believe it, this little girl is going to add World Traveler to her achievements, I'm so excited!

Hello My Cookie Friends!!

It's been a couple seasons since I've opened but with school now complete and some extra time in my days, I'll be back in the kitchen baking cookies!!!

My plan is to open this Sunday, June 21st, at 2pm. I'll have a new Soft Baked Sugar cookie as well Chocolate chip, Peanutbutter, Snickerdoodles, Reese's Bombs, M&Ms, and Red Velvet with Cream Cheese filling.

I've had a lot going on in these past months, 3 dance competitions where one of my solos was recognized and received a special award, I'd be so thrilled to show you a video of that dance if you stop by Sunday. I've also been very busy starting my college preparations, in fact I'm going to visit the campus of my first choice college, the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) next weekend, I've written my first rough draft of my college essay and am working on building my portfolio. (I'd love suggestions on how to make it strong)

An even bigger event in my life, June 11th I turned 16! Anyone have a car they don't need anymore... hahaha!!
My big gift, for my 16th, is a trip to Paris. Yes, this little girl is going to Paris! I am enrolled in a language immersion program. I'll be enrolled for two weeks in late July into August. There I'll learn a deeper understanding of the French language while also learning customs and cultural expectations. My hope is while in college, to study French pastry making for a semester abroad and this trip is to help prepare me for that.

My time has been very consumed with school, homework, and lots of dance classes, competitions, homework, I feel like homework should be mentioned again, WOW there really was more than I could actually handle this past school year. But summer is here and I survived my 10th grade year... OMG that means I'm a Junior now, life goes so fast. But one thing I greatly enjoy is baking and talking with so many of you. So I hope to see many of you Sunday!

And as always, I'm so thankful to you all, your support is so very important to me!

Hello my Cookie friends,

WOW! It's the word for my last several weeks. It's been too cold and Why won't this snow melt??? There is just so much snow with even more on the way.

Anyway, cookie baking might be on hold until spring which isn't a bad thing because this girl has been crazy busy preparing for my first dance competition. I've been busy with dress rehearsals, privates lessons with my AMAZING Choreographers, getting into character, last minute costume design changes and alterations, our annual Competition Cotillion is tomorrow, and next weekend my first regional competition of the season. It's been so fun getting ready but the time just raced so fast.

Here is a sneak peek of three costumes for 3 of my 10 Competition dances for this season.

The Waitress, for which I'll be dancing to, "She Use To Be Mine" by: Sara Bareilles

Sway, this ten inch brimmed hat is EVERYTHING!! I'll be dancing to "Sway" written by: Pablo Beltrán Ruiz originally written in Spanish and reworked by Norman Gimbel in English.

And I'm BEETLEJUICE!!! For which I'll be dancing to. "That Beautiful Sound" from the Broadway production of Beetlejuice.

As diverse as imaginable, these dances bring me so much joy to perform and I can't wait to share videos with all of you after my performances!

Now, I'd like to take time to thank ALL of you. Your cookie purchases have helped me pay for a lot of my dance tuition and choreography fees, you all have kept me going with my dance dreams and baking dreams. While I've said it before, it's worth saying again... it takes a Village and I'm so thankful and thrilled to have all of you as part of my village. I really can't thank you all enough for the amazing support you've shown me.

I'm in the kitchen making Befanini for La Befana.
These Italian treats will be set out tomorrow night, with a glass of red wine, a crust of bread, and something small to nibble, for La Befana (the Christmas Witch), to help her on her journey to the King of Kings as she continues to fly through the sky every January 5th in hopes of finding the blessed baby, Jesus.

On Epiphany day, better known as the 12th day of Christmas, January 6th, thus also marking the end of the Holiday season, La Befana will refill our stockings as she blesses us all for the new year. I hope to receive an orange or other citrus fruit from her to wish upon me a prosperous new year.

Do you welcome La Befana to your house? What do you leave for the Christmas Witch? Does she sweep your floors? Have you ever gotten coal from her?
