Blessed to grow up in a family surrounded by the arts, I knew from early childhood that I wanted to share my love for it with others. From being the kid in class, who could only focus while "doodling" on my notes, to today, being able to build and hand paint pieces that hang in homes from NC all the way to Alaska. All the wood coasters and plaques are from natural hand cut maple trees, and the res

t of the pieces are made from locally reclaimed wood or custom distressed new wood. A piece of my heart goes into every piece I make and I am thankful for all of those who have chosen my work for their homes, nurseries, and even an office here and there. Definitely one the highlights for me of 2021 was this wedding! Not only was it for one of my absolute favorite couples, but I got the honor of doing not only their wedding signs, I made their wedding cake too! The custom signs and the wedding cake both had the same free handed florals incorporated to keep it all cohesive! This wedding was supposed to happen in May of 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic. The bride and groom, who are both in health and public safety, worked through it all taking care of others until their big day could finally happen. From postponements, to wedding day mishaps, and even pouring down rain. It was their day and it was beautiful! I am blessed to know them both! The groom's reaction to finding out I snuck his and hers both favorite flavors in the cake was priceless! Love you both to pieces!

Small business support and shopping local means so much more than it ever has in years past. We are getting back to more mom and pop shops around town. Boutiques, restaurants, specialty shops: All locally owned and operated. Some the long, prayed for, and stressed over dreams of those who run them. I love seeing other people chase after their passions and seeing their communities surround them, embrace them, and proudly share them to bring validation to the risk of that chase! I am thankful for friends and family, and the village that encourages me to do just that!

Ok so since Thanksgiving is now officially behind us…. CUE ALL THE CHRISTMAS!!! The lights, ornaments, tinsel and garland, nativity scenes, nutcrackers, holly leaves, mistletoe and gingerbread houses! (Unpopular opinion tho: not a huge fan of Christmas songs*. They get so overplayed that it ruins the fun. So I am a Christmas music the week of Christmas person. 🙋🏼‍♀️ Anybody else? )

*my only exception to that rule is the song "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas" it always makes me smile and think of my girl. 🐾

Tonight is the night, his trip is underway. Rudolph for sure guiding that sleigh.

Long time no post! It's been a while but I'm back at it! At least a little part time. I am still a full time cookie artist with the girls of Southern Sugar Bakery, LLC but I couldn't get this idea out of my head to combine the two worlds and do a piece to sell with cookies in mind! I even made an Instagram page to keep everybody updated and post some sneak peaks and all that fun stuff. So go like and share on Instagram for the exciting new limited edition offerings just in time for Christmas! They will be posted later this week for order until December 20th or until they are sold out!

It's been a crazy few months for me.

I was given the incredible opportunity to work for some wonderful ladies expressing my artistic abilities in a little different but delicious medium... COOKIES. I was asked to come on full time with the beautiful inside and out gals of Southern Sugar Bakery.

In addition to being part of their decorating team, they asked me ( ) to collaborate and make menu display signs for their table set up in Nashville for the after party with the Warner Music Label. It's been so much fun seeing them set up and prepare and party! God has granted little ole us from Raleigh with a huge opportunity and it's definitely not something any of us are taking lightly. What fun and what an adventure!

A two part order from this week for a wedding today! A first for to do a piece in Spanish. They have a darling ribbon attached to the back of them for the ring bearer to wear down the aisle on the bride's walk in, and their walk out as husband and wife! Love the color, love the wedding style, love the words!

Hey all! I knows it's been quiet for a while but having gone full time at my job recently, things have gotten kinda hectic!!! But I am loving it! That being said, I am still doing artwork!
