Happy new year! I do hope the new year has been off to a great start thus far! It has been quite a journey & growing experience within the last few months for my family, myself, as well as this cause. I was able to network more with other parents facing similar challenges that I have had to go through and was able to gather opinions, thoughts, and a sense of support from these individuals. Most recently I was informed by a mother going through similar challenges with an allergen stricken child, that the school potentially to be her child's next step in his educational journey informed her that they do not support a "peanut free" environment and they believe in a parent convenient environment versus a student need environment. This basically means that the school follows what the parents vote & not necessarily what is best for the child. Please, feel free to contact me with any information you may have on this matter because it truly is a concern for parents like us who have a need to have an allergen friendly environment taken seriously.
