Nothing like creating a pricing list after a year long hiatus to put the past year's inflation under a spotlight. My apologies for being late with a price list for favorite items, I'm brainstorming on how to keep inflation OUT of my little bakery! A price list will be coming soon, and they'll be reasonable prices for gourmet goodies and artisan breads. As always, we have NO artificial ingredients, NO preservatives, and NO INFLATION!

It's official, Mama's Country Kitchen will be reopening in 2025!!!

It's been so heartbreaking over the past year to have to tell people that I was unable to make any baked goods for them, but my kitchen at the old house had become totally non-functional. Like, worse than the basement level on "Next Level Chef" type of non-functional. The rest of the house wasn't much better either, so we needed to move. We didn't want to leave our little town of Wagoner, and it took some time to find a suitable house. Thank you to everyone that's been so patient during my year long hiatus and everyone that's been so understanding when I had to tell them I'm not taking orders. We're now in a bigger, better, fully functional kitchen. Pricing for our most popular items will be posted New Year's Day. In the meantime, what items are you most excited about? Leave a comment with your favorite treat from Mama so we can be sure to include it in the pricing post on New Year's Day. And again, thank you for your patience and support!

AJ found this beautiful rock on his field trip today & was so excited to show me when I got home from work. I'd like Jaeden Smith's family to know that, yes, we did have that heavy conversation upon reading the back. I told him what the hash tags meant, that someone had been driving impaired & caused a wreck that killed someone else. We talked about the uncle he never got to meet, my sister's 1st husband that was killed by a drunk driver. We talked about how she has almost the same name as his sister, how they were only 3 months apart in age, how her kids will feel their whole lives not having Mom there... I assure you, the rock found the right family. It did what you hoped, we had the talk with our kids. I hope the family doesn't mind me including her profile picture, it seemed like it should be included in the post.

There's gonna be some experimenting going on next week! I can't find any recipes for Swiss buttercream so it might take a few more batches than usual to perfect, but by the end of the week I'll have an apple cider buttercream as light as a whipped frosting 🤤 Apple cider is by far my favorite fall flavor! No idea what I'll be putting it on, but the frosting is gonna happen!

The blueberry people pie didn't turn out quite as expected. It was supposed to be more reminiscent of a Hannibal Lecter victim, terror still frozen on what remains of their face. Alas, the blueberries shifted during baking & I was left with this jolly fellow 🤦🏻‍♀️

Billy Butcherson's grave, extra large & delivered 2 days early because my brother-in-law is addicted to my chocolate trifle 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️ Available for order for the online bake sale, but only half this size. Individual size will be available at the physical bake sale at Ginny's Log Cabin in Wagoner, OK this Saturday. And thanks so much for all the orders so far!
