This cake represents my daughter's 11th birthday. Time passes so quickly now. I have to enjoy them as much as I can, soon they will be going to college:/

Happy Easter!! We had an amazing time in the egg hunting in Steiner Ranch.

I got an order of 50 cupcakes with Easter themed. I got excited being back to baking :)

I took the challenge of baking a tall cake. It was complicated to frost it.

1. Enforced the cake with some dowels.

2. Applied a thin layer of buttercream, popped in the freezer for around 7min.

3. Applied a thicker layer of buttercream of the lightest color, popped in the freezer about 7 min.

4. Smoothed the Frosting dipped the metal spatula in hot water, wiped excess water and with the hot spatula was easier to smooth the Frosting. Popped in the freezer around 5 min.

5. Meanwhile colored the Frosting with different shades of pink.

6. Applied the lighter pink and on the bottom the darker pink, the metal scrapper will help to smooth and combine the colors to watercolor effect.

7. Popped in the cake into the freezer and Smoothed the buttercream as many times it was necessary to make it look smooth as fondant. Popped it in the freezer 5 min.

8. Once the cake was chilled, it was easier to decorate it ;)

9. Prepared the flowers before inserting them to the cake.

10. Kept it ready in the fridge for being collected.

Sometimes things looks easier than what they are. I am experiencing that with renovating my house ;)

Life is good and it's even better when we can celebrate our special moments with a delicious beautiful cake :)

Our signature vanilla cake with buttercream fresh berries Filling and buttercream Frosting decorated with fresh berries and some vines and leaves.

I highly recommend to try this healthy banana muffin recipe:)

1 ripe banana
2tb melted butter
3tb raw honey
1 egg
3tb milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 tsp cinammon
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup flour

(We roasted some walnut and sprinkled some oats on top)

350F x 15min (9 cupcakes)

Today is a very special day! My husband just entered to my decade:)

We prepared him a presentation. It was great to be able to highlight the good & fun moments we have spent together in all this years in just 6 min:)

It was great having my sister in law here to celebrate his 40th birthday!
