We have had requests for sliced bread at our markets. I wanted to share why we don't pre-slice our bread.
Since our bread is made with fresh-milled flour, the shelf life is decreased from most commercial bread since its not processed and no preservatives are added. Pre-slicing the bread would decrease that shelf life.
Also, I LOVE thick sliced of toast for my morning bread. My boys like thin slices of bread for their sandwiches. If the loaf isnt sliced, you can choose your desired thickness.
We do understand some of our market has a harder time slicing so we are happy to pre-slice a loaf that we sell for direct pickup.
If you do choose to freeze your bread and pop it out to toast, pre-slicing is a great thing to do!
Below will be a few suggestions for some good/affordable bread knives for those looking for something to help make slicing bread a little easier. 🥖

I am SO excited to bring these (along with a dairy-free version) to the China Spring Farmers and Crafters Market (located at the China Spring United Methodist Church)

I make these animal crackers for the kids so I can have a few.. 🙃😂

Since finding out that I have an MTHFR gene mutation and learning that enriched foods really aren't anyone's best friend.. I have been on a mission to make myself and my family better snacks and baked goods.

🦒These animal crackers have fresh-milled soft white flour, coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla, salt, and a special spice.

I am releasing these to the public this week!

Was it really the best thing since sliced bread or did sliced bread (and bread that lasts longer on the shelf) start the downward spiral of chemical filled/preserved food?

Perhaps our ancestors had to work harder to make real food, but we have lost something truly spectacular. Fresh-milled bread is filled with so many nutrients your body needs- and they aren't made in a lab to "enrich" your bread. Instead, our baked goods use the whole wheat for a hearty, full flavor unlike anything you will find in the grocery store!

You don't have to find a distributor for your organic whole wheat grains and mill them yourself. We will do it for you and turn it into your favorite loaf of bread or baked goods!

Real food is made with REAL ingredients.
