It's been awhile! As much as I love to bake, I struggle to do much in the summer as it gets quite hot here and I don't have A/C. It regularly gets above 90*F in the kitchen WITHOUT the oven on. Fortunately, it's finally beginning to feel like autumn around here, and I'll also be moving soon into a place with A/C, so hopefully I'll be more motivated to bake! This weekend my best friend was in town and she requested "lavender raspberry amazingness", so I made lavender cupcakes with raspberry buttercream for her.

It's been much too hot to bake lately (93*F in my kitchen this afternoon) so I decided to try my hand at ice cream with some fresh peaches. I wish I could join them in the freezer...

At my day job, I bake dessert for our monthly staff meeting, and i let whoever has a birthday that month decide what I should make. This month is Caramel Apple Bread Pudding.
