Monday pickup! The mixed Sourdough is the flavor of the week- a lovely mix of the flavor profiles of Spelt, Hard Red, & Hard White. I thought baking would get back to normal after our crazy summer ended with our family trip to Cape Charles last weekend. 🤡What I didn’t anticipate was that now I’d be planning it around my salon schedule, pick ups/drop offs, dance, gymnastics, Girl Scouts, nature group, art class, etc. So please bear with me as I navigate my way through continuing to bake for my family & yours. I even made up this week’s menu, then looked again at my schedule & didn’t post it. But hopefully will have a menu posted asap for Monday pickup! Let me know if you have any requests!

A stiff starter when you’re making 13 loaves of bread is basically just an entire loaf of dough with no salt 😅 the initial mix➡️bubbly & ready. A stiff 100% Fresh Milled Flour has a whole different look than the starters you’re used to seeing floating around the internet, no store bought “dead” flour has been allowed in this house for a year & a half 😆

How many layers do you see here? I was milling just enough flour to give my starter her first feed from the fridge, and since the bread I was making was mixed, I was feeding with mixed flour!
