Yesterday I had the privilege of hosting my very first cake decorating class for the ladies in my neighborhood and what an experience it was!
This was a free event sponsored by our neighborhood association, and we originally had 21 women signed up (RSVPs actually had to be closed!). I spent countless hours preparing… baking 20+ cakes, making pounds and pounds of buttercream, ordering individual supplies, and setting up every single station with love.
Out of the 21 women, only 6 of us ended up attending — including myself. At first I was disappointed after all of the prep… but honestly, it turned into such a blessing.
We sipped wine, enjoyed amazing hors d’oeuvres, laughed, connected, and created our own delicious masterpieces together. The smaller group made the night intimate, relaxed, and truly special.
One major lesson learned:
Going forward, all future classes will require a small holding fee to secure your spot and ensure supplies aren’t wasted. I want every guest to have the full experience but also to respect the time, effort, and preparation that goes into each event.
With that said, my heart is full, and I’m excited to host many more cake decorating classes with The Little Cake Kraft.
Whether you’re planning a ladies’ night, couples’ class, kids’ party, or private celebration, keep me in mind. I’d love to bring a fun, creative, and sweet experience to your next event. 💕🍰✨
