Greetings Perked Up Friends,
John here.
I wanted to provide a quick update regarding Perked Up and share some exciting news about the future of our cafe.
Following two incredible years as owner of Perked Up Coffee, I have decided to sell the business and move on to a new chapter (no details to share on that front so stay tuned).
I first want to thank everyone in the Perked Up community for the warm welcome that has been extended to me over the past two years in addition to the continued support of our business and especially our fantastic team. As a team we frequently talk about how we have the “absolute best customers anywhere.” Each morning when we turn the lock it feels like we’re having friends over for coffee. Thank you for making our days so bright. I hope we have returned the favor in some small measure.
I would be remiss not to acknowledge the Perked Up team of employees - past and present - who have made this little coffee shop such a special place over the past 2+ years. Each team member has brought their own unique personality and exceptional talents to the shop and in doing so, helped elevate the daily experience for our customers, team members and especially me. I will be forever grateful for the contributions of this special group of people.
So what’s next for Perked Up?
It gives me enormous pleasure to share with you all that longtime Perked Up employee Morgan Corrado will become the next owner of the cafe. If you have been in Perked Up any time over the past 5 years, you have likely seen Morgan leading the charge on our front end. In addition, over a year ago Morgan took over as our Lead Baker, overseeing our menu of baked goods and production.
Simply put, Morgan is the best person to lead Perked Up into the future. Please join me in congratulating Morgan on this exciting next step in her career. I look forward to watching her thrive as a business owner and leader in the Oceanfront business community.
Morgan and I have started the process of transitioning the cafe over to her and expect to finalize the business changeover by mid-October. Once we have completed the hand-off I will continue to serve as consultant and adviser to Morgan as needed moving forward.
Thank you again for an amazing two years.
