We are blessed to have hosted a group of warriors, Team Semper Fi, today with the Why Knot Charters Regulator and a 2nd boat.
Upon arriving on the fishing grounds we found a good steady bite of quality fish which slowed for a while after the first 50 were boated…
Patience prevailed and the bite returned with the current and it was on fire.
Sadly just a few short of a 11 man limit, north winds pushed a big sea our way and we had to tuck it in and head back.
Lots of witty banter and stories kept our attention….while surrounded by the best of the best.
Thank you gentlemen for your service to our great country and thank you for choosing us for your fishing adventure, I am honored.

!! NO FISHING !! ATLANTIC RED SNAPPER 39-day red snapper season will not start the night before it began.

A lawsuit filed in federal lawsuit by a commercial fishing trade association has been granted an injuction to cease fishing for red snapper. U.S. Judge Rudolph Contreras will not allow any fishing until he renders a decision.

Where does that leave everyone planning on fishing?

What an amazing day….
I hold a few small snags close to me that aren’t on relief shading and today was the day to pull a couple from the archives.
Joe and his band of thieves, metaphorically speaking, rolled in at 4am and sneaking out under the auspices of dark we headed, well to the deep or not, and these boys stole the show. It was fun to watch.
Thank you and after a couple, maybe 3 cancellations, ok 4, we got it done by 10:30 without seeing another boat all day we were back in for lunch.

We hosted this group from New Jersey today and it was slow and steady for a while until the current got right and we landed on the right snag, then it was on. Drop and swing style, we then rounded out the boat limit and we were in before lunch.
What a fun group to fish with and know we appreciate your choosing Why Knot Charters.
