I can now say that papers have been signed and in the coming weeks Hamman's Bakery and House of Donuts are coming together and will combine our talents and bring you new things but also have many of your favorites that you have all gotten the last almost 40 years. I'm going to be there working with and training the staff and am excited for what this can mean for my customers. The great thing for me is no getting up at midnight. My hope is that by the holidays we can provide the products and quality you have been used to. A few details to work out but will keep you posted!

Mary Ann and I are so overwhelmed by all of your kind words and warm wishes it means so much to us and we thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts! One thing I do want to say that I did not mention yesterday is to thank everyone in my family who at one time or another in their lives worked at the bakery. Almost every holiday we would all be there putting up all the orders we had. Especially the last few years Justin has made it possible for me to concentrate on making everything. He has been really great with all the customers. It is amazing what we have been able to put out just with the 2 of us.So many great memories of all the grandkids when they were young working with pieces of dough I would give them to shape anyway they wanted.I hope they will always remember those times. Again thank you to all of you for your support all these years.❤❤

I always thought it might come to this one day. The old cliche that if you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life applies to me. But this past summer has been the hardest on me both physically and mentally. It hasn't helped that I tore my bicep tendon a month ago. Plus constant supply issues and constant price increases has only added to the stress. Last night and this morning my body and brain said I can't do it anymore. Having a really hard time trying to sleep during the day. Want to sleep at night and wake up with my wife and enjoy the day and the rest of my life. I love all of your support and loyalty it is what has kept me going all these years. After 50 years and probably equal to 2 lifetimes of work I can't do it anymore. Thought about cutting back on days but that would only make sleeping even worse. It is hard to explain but something inside has said I need to stop now. I hope you will understand how I feel. Again I have loved doing this it is a dream come true but when my body says I need to stop I have to listen it is the only way for me to do this.Sorry to disappoint you but I can't drag this out. For the first time in my life I don't want to get up at midnight and do this again. Serving you has been an honor and joy more than you will ever know.

Just want to thank everyone for your continued support! This past holiday weekend Fri. thru Sunday we sold over 450 doz. donuts and danish that doesn't even include kuchens, strudels, bread, buns, cakes, and cookies. Always see people who post that we don't make enough. We make more than you could ever realize but you have to get here early or place an order the day before. Best time to call is late morning if you call first thing in the morning we are too busy to answer. If we have full cases at the end of the day that is not good. Again thanks for your support all these years!

We hope you all have a very Happy Easter and enjoy time with your family and friends. Thank you for such a busy day yesterday, we were completely SOLD OUT! We will be taking a few days off to rest and recharge. We’ll be closed Monday-Wednesday and open back up on Thursday at 6am! See you then! 🐣🐇
