Dear Yummies Family,

After much prayer, thought, and emotion, Allen and I want to share that we have sold Yummies.

For the past 35 years, we have poured our hearts, our energy, our faith, and our lives into this business. We have worked tirelessly, made many sacrifices, and given everything we had to serve this community through Yummies. It has never been just a business to us. It has been our ministry, our calling, our family, and one of the greatest blessings of our lives.

Many of you have known Allen by the smell of fresh donuts before sunrise, the care he put into every batch, and the pride he took in giving you the very best. Baking has never been just a job for Allen. It has been his gift, his passion, and his way of serving others. His baking legacy is woven into the heart of Yummies and into so many memories shared with this community.

We are deeply grateful for every customer who walked through our doors, every family who made us part of their traditions, every holiday order, every kind word, every review, every smile, and every story shared across our counter. You allowed us to be part of your mornings, your celebrations, your hard days, and your special moments. That is something we will carry in our hearts forever.

God has blessed us in ways we could never fully express, and so many of those blessings came through you. Serving Venice and the surrounding community has been an honor we do not take lightly.

This decision comes with many emotions. There is joy, gratitude, sadness, relief, and a deep sense of reflection. Yummies has been such a large part of who we are, and stepping away is not easy. But we believe there is a season for everything, and we are trusting God as we begin this next chapter.

We also ask that you join us in welcoming and supporting the new owners. Our hope and prayer is that you will extend to them the same kindness, encouragement, grace, and loyalty that you have so generously given to us. Small businesses need community support, and we would be so grateful to see Yummies continue to be loved and supported in the years ahead.

We are so proud of these amazing seniors from Venice High School! 🎓

They start every Thursday at Yummies, and they have become such a special part of our Yummies family. Their smiles, laughter, and friendship have made our Thursdays extra fun, and we feel so blessed to have shared this time with them.

And how great are those matching Yummies shirts? We absolutely love seeing them show their Yummies spirit together! The matching shirts made their Thursday tradition even more special and are such a fun reminder of the bond they share and the memories they made along the way. ❤️🍩

Congratulations, seniors, on your graduation! We are cheering each of you on and wishing you all the best in this exciting new chapter. Thank you for being such a special part of our Yummies family!

Because of YOU, Yummies has been voted Best Donuts year after year and we truly don’t take that for granted. Your votes, your loyalty, and the way you show up for our little shop means everything to us.

We’ve been making donuts the old-fashioned way since 1989, and every award is a reminder that community still matters, kindness still matters, and great donuts bring people together. 🍩✨
