This might seem odd, but I would love to do a check-in. I have been thinking of all those friendly faces I used to see on a regular basis. I've missed everyone, but now - now, I'm worried, too. If you have a moment, I'd appreciate knowing how you are doing during this difficult time. As for us - Chris and I are still in Texas, with our youngest son. Our oldest son - Stephen, one of the friendly guys who was part of Team deda's - moved back to Washington. So far, we're all okay.

I thought about what our last post should be....and then I read the last line online. It seemed fitting. THANK YOU ALL for your support, your kindness, your joy when you came in, and your beautiful and heartfelt farewells.

Thank you everyone for an amazing Saturday! We are out of goodies and closing early. We will be open tomorrow at 8:30 with as much as we can bake!

Here are some quick related announcements....

Tomorrow we will have more Ficelles, which do freeze well if you'd like to pick up a few for sandwiches!

We will also have a few more cookies - PB Oat Chippers and Chocolate Perks (the coffee infused cookies w/ cocoa nibs & white/dark chocolate chips).

And if anyone would like any of our gluten-free flours, please let me know. We have some left and would love to give them away. We only ask that you bring a container for the gluten-free flours (we don't have any extra containers left).

It has been quite the (last) Saturday morning!
We baked as much as we could, but many pastries are going fast. We do still have quite a few goodies - Lemon Bars, Key Lime Bars, S'more Bars, assorted Scones, Chocolate Caramel Cakes (6"), ICE CREAM, and a few other treats.

We have some bread left as well - including those Ficelles Chris used to make!!

We will be open until we run out. I will post an update on this page if we do close early.

We will also be open tomorrow, Sunday, Mother's Day for our last day of baking for all you amazing, supportive, super-friendly people!!! We will open at 830 a.m. tomorrow.

Sorry, no time to take pictures - but we have many options for you today!
We baked up so many extra scones today - and yes, half of them are already gone (in 18 minutes). Wow - thank you!
We still have Peach Marionberry; Lemon Raspberry; Orange Cranberry; Mixed Berry.
We are also baking more cookies as those are about out, too. Look for Oat Chippers and Peanut Butter Oat Chippers later this morning.

We had another fantastic day, though bittersweet as many of you were saying your farewells. Still others plan to come in each day until we close this Sunday - thank you, all!
We are closing early as we are just about out of goodies (we even baked extra)!
We plan to bake extra-extra tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday.

We had quite the Wednesday! We ran out rather early, baked more as quick as we could - and almost ran out again!
We are baking even more tomorrow - with extra scones, pastries, snacking cakes, whoopie pies & other goodies planned for each day this week.

We will also have those Not-so-Littles many of you have asked for, plus cakes and whatever other goodies we can bake.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by today and who plan on stopping by again this week!

We are heading into our last week of baking up goodies for our Vancouver community (insert a massive sigh and more than a few tears). We will be open Wednesday through Sunday. Here are our planned hours. Please note that we are going to do our best to open earlier than the stated times below. We tried that last week and it gave some of you time to pick up some goodies before heading off to work or other places! If you see the flag out front and the open sign on, we're open!

Wed - 9 am to 4 pm
Thurs - 9 am to 4 pm
Fri - 9 am to 4 pm
Sat - 8:30 am to 3 pm
Sun - Mother's Day - 8:30 am until ??? (we run out)

Note that if we run out of goodies, we may close early. Please check our page for any posts about changes in our hours. There is absolutely no predictability as to when we might run out - sorry!

We're not exactly sure what to expect this week. When the weather is warmer, we tend to see most people come in early to select their treats. We've also been rather busier than usual at the bakery, which has resulted in running out of some favorites earlier in the day.

We're going to bake our little hearts out this week, but as this is our last week we have limited ingredients for some things (such as both cold and hot sandwiches, cookies & frangipane croissants). We did receive several pre-orders - thank you so much - and so we will first ensure we have enough to fill those orders. All of this is to say that if you'd like to come in and find one or three of your favorites, trying for earlier in the day might be a good idea. This is perhaps especially true for scones, brioche pastries, cookies and any Saturday breads.

And if you have a pre-order and we close early the day of your pick-up, don't worry - we will still be there prepping for the next day. Just knock on the front door.

What a Saturday! Thank you to everyone who came out and scored some goodies! We are almost out - just a few pastries are left, so we may close early today. If you have an order to pick up, fret not - we will be here cleaning up. Just knock on the door. :)
