At Thatcher’s Coffee, we aim to do just that. We opened our doors in 2010, and we opened a small kiosk in the Vancouver Community Library in 2011. In the following years, we have cultivated a community space with great coffee and pastries, genuinely kind service, and a welcoming environment. In June of 2016, Jamie officially became the sole-member owner of Thatcher’s Coffee. This marked an excitin

g chapter in the history of Thatcher’s. We introduced a handful of new delicious, local products. We also began to solidify a collective set of values that would act as the foundation of how we do business, how we treat our customers, and how we treat each other. At the end of the day, our foundational values all come down to kindness and hospitality. We are passionate about treating our customers and our coworkers with compassion, empathy, and respect. We strive to create an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming - this encompasses everything from the way we greet a customer when they walk through our door, the presentation of the products that we serve, the clean and orderly environment, the smell of coffee and pastries, and the sense of comfort that we cultivate. We love our community and we love what we do.

🎉15 years of coffee & community!

Thatcher’s is celebrating 15 years of genuinely kind hospitality, delicious coffee & pastry and the welcoming space you know and love. This exciting milestone coincides with the transition of ownership as Jamie finishes a master’s in counseling, and ushers in a new operating team. Erica and Justin will continue to cultivate the values and ethos that have made Thatcher’s what it is.

You may have seen Erica and Justin in the cafe, as they have been partners with Thatcher’s through .coffee their roasting company. They have been working with the team at Thatcher’s for the past 7+ years helping to craft the best coffee possible and are honored to have the opportunity to steward Thatcher’s through the next 15 years!
