The company was founded in 2006 by Marie and Mike Smith, and they are still the managing principals today. Prior to the development of the bakery, Marie was studying to become a holistic nutritionist and Mike was an industrial process consultant. The combination of Marie’s passion for dietary solutions and Mike’s ability to design and create was a perfect match in the evolution of Bavaria Mills Specialty Bakery.
