Update time! Dear AFFK folks, hope this message finds you all well. I have seen or spoken to some of you lately and I know Iβm due for another update. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to the markets this year. I have decided to take an official pause on that to continue focus on my physical health and well being.
Outside of the markets, I may be able to put out a few bakes here and there, but itβll all depend on how the body does while I am still working through recovery. Also, I start serious training for my sport of choice - outrigger canoe paddling. I have registered for 2 big out of state races in July and November.
When I had decided to get back into a beloved sport in summer of 2024, getting myself back in the gym, making time to paddle at the lake, and I had barely started to trainβ¦ π₯BAM, I got in a car accident that November. Fast forward to today, Iβve put my food biz on hold, still seeing doctors for cognitive and nerve functions, still powering through aches and pains in the body with chiro and massage therapy. Iβve acquired a lot of patience and learned to carefully manage my time between household chores, physical therapy for recovery, and paddling when I can for a low impact exercise. Iβm finally able to add more strength training to my regimen without adding pain - 15 mths later. πͺπΌπͺπΌπͺπΌ
I want to take a moment to thank my Hoewa'a Dallas buddies for always being there for me! We have an Open House this March 28th, if youβre interested in checking out my favorite sport (besides volleyball). π€πͺπΌπ€πΌ
In the mean time, please take care of your well being and health as well. Please do stay connected as I will continue to share updates of me and keep ourselves posted of local farm and farmers market things. I donβt want to get too ahead of myself, but thereβs new talk of maybe a brick βn mortar opportunity of some sort. Again, will keep yβall posted. Love to you all! β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
