Moving home to Michigan has affected the way I am allowed to operate under the state's cottage laws. Michigan does not allow anything to be sold that requires refrigeration after production.

This eliminates my frostings, cheesecakes, and several baked goods.

I could alter my recipes to comply using shelf-stable ingredients or substitutes, but then it's not what I stand for and just full of unhealthy ingredients like the rest.

It's never really been about the label(even though it feels so sweet handing over my branded goods) or a tax status anyway.

For those I have had the pleasure to make memories for, and the often overwhelming support, thank you.

Supporting home businesses gives people the opportunity to explore hobbies they are passionate about while earning money; independently and happily.

My goal is to be regulated and licensed around the summer of 2026.

Until then, I'll be baking the world a better place, in my spare time, for my connected circle.

I'm keeping the page around and might find some time to share skills and updates along the way.

Happy Sweet 16 💛

Carter requested chocolate cake with a Snickers bar on top.

What he ended up with was a 3 layer chocolate cake, filled with chocolate mousse & Nutella fudge, topped with chocolate buttercream and sealed with dark chocolate ganache.
