The bakery will be closed for a few days now for a family event , but looking forward to the Father’s Day Friday porch pickup next week , as well as Rustic Roots Farmer’s Market ❤️❣️

The beauty of authentic artisan sourdough is just four simple ingredients: Flour , water , salt and starter . No oils , no sugar. The magic is all about fermentation and how to manage it well ❤️
From ancient Egypt until today , sourdough has been a true staple across the world 🤩 My own inspiration was reading the book Tartine Bread by Chad Robertson . Down the rabbit hole I went , and now each loaf I make is based on his Tartine Country Loaf recipe and artisan technique. It makes a light crumb and thin crispy crust which is the goal for every loaf ❤️
