Wedding cake trends for this upcoming season have me more than excited!!!
The newest fun emerging favorite in the wedding cake world is the "narrow table length long slab cakes". Oh my...I'm absolutely in LOVE with them!
They essentially double as both a dessert AND a centerpiece. Stunning fruit topped wedding cakes are making an appearance, as well as soft and subtle pressed flowers designs.
Bold, vibrant colors seem to be "in". Dessert bars are also still very widely popular!!! Whether you're trendy or classic, I can help bring your wedding day dessert visions to life!!!!

10 years ago (tomorrow), I was preparing to open the doors to my adorable, "dream" cake shop, for the very first time. Over the years, I have met sooooo many amazing people, and have created some beautiful friendships as well.
I've worked pretty much 6-7 days a week for a good majority of it, lol...I've worked straight through the night on more than one occasion... I've probably cracked over a million eggs... I even survived a pandemic shutdown. I've also taught fun classes... donated to great causes...seen a lot of adorable babies and have been honored to be a part of their very "first birthday" celebrations...I've played a role in countless weddings, graduations, showers, birthdays, retirements, and "just because" cakes. I've made a few cakes that I had to ask "WHY"? Lol.

I think I've made a lot of people "happy" over the years, and making other people happy, makes ME happy, and at the end of the day, that truly is all that matters to me. I LOVE what I do so much, and appreciate ALL of my awesome customers who helped support my business along the way. THANK YOU for always trusting me and allowing me to play a role in your special occasions ❤️

Something happened this morning, that has really left me heartbroken and sad. When I pulled into work, I saw an elderly man, which I assume to be homeless, eating out of the dumpster at work. I asked if he was okay, and he just nodded and scurried off.
That literally hurt my heart!!!
Which now has me thinking...
The amount of cake that I throw out every week is incredible. I would say it is at least 100 lbs, if not more.
There is nothing wrong with it whatsoever, sometimes it's literally still warm when it goes straight to the garbage. When I bake cakes, they peak / mound in the center, similar to what people know as a "muffin top", just on a much larger scale. I have to cut all of those tops off, to level my cakes for decorating. I really have no use for them, so....in the garbage they go. I'm just wondering if anyone knows if there is a local church or organization of some sort, that feeds the needy, that would want these every week??? Any suggestions?
