Eric just got back from an appointment, and checked the mail, this lovely letter was sent to us, anonymously, of course.

I suppose we haven’t done much to keep up on dusting the outside dining area considering we’ve been closed for a month and a half … it’s been Smokey as heck- dusty and dry also- and we’ve been a little busy 😉 people are wild.

So we just wanted to thank whoever this is for letting us know that people are talking trash. Wish I could send them a thank you card, unfortunately no return address.

Guess whose birthday it is today??! Yep!! It’s ERIC’S DAY OF BIRTH, 49 years ago his beautiful Mama Lisa brought my dearest Eric into this world ❤️ Thanks Eric’s Mama!! 🥰

HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY TO OUR SWEET ERIC!!

Things have been a bit upside down lately, and I know he doesn’t feel exceptionally celebratory at the moment, but he’s worthy of celebration ALWAYS! And especially on his BiRThDaY!! Please wish this fine fella a big ole birthday shout out!!

Eric has made so much progress, thankfully everything is healing, slowly, but absolutely on the mend!! He still has some swelling and pain, and numbness in his fingers, which is to be expected.

He starts physical therapy this next week! We were really excited yesterday to have the gauze & brace removed and see how nice his arm and hand are healing up!!

I posted three sets of pictures, first or when his hand first started hurting and got bad, very quickly. The second are before removing his stitches about a week ago, checking on everything.. at that point there was still noticeable infection, so everything was re-wrapped. The third set is yesterday when they took the stitches out ❤️

On his other arm, he has his IV Picc line, which looks kind of gruesome, so we’re not going to post that 😅

There has been a lot of back-and-forth to different hospitals and clinics, visiting specialists & other unrelated hiccups along the way. The antibiotics make him very nauseous, and I don’t think he’s had a good night sleep in the past month. There’s still a decent amount of work that needs to be done for the healing process -However, amazingly, he still has a smile on his face and a beautiful laugh and love to spare. He is quite the remarkable human, we are all so blessed to know such a beautiful man 🥰

Last night‘s fundraisers still have Eric and I in tears, and feeling completely humbled and loved. Thank you so much to everyone who showed up 💕

It’s almost surreal watching our community come together to help one another. I’ve witnessed it 1000 times on the rally & giving end, this is the first time that we have been on the receiving end and I have to tell you, we have never felt so loved 😭❤️ Someone anonymously put money down on our electric bill account, signed, “a friend” 😭 Thank you. Thank you so much. Eric and I are both aware that no one HAS to help us- the fact that you all have CHOSEN to help us just further demonstrates the beautiful heartbeat of our community ❤️What a lovely gift to be loved & cared for by you all ❤️

We will continue for the rest of our lives, trying to prove worthy of all of the kindness that we have received. Truly, truly, thank you all so much, from the bottom of our hearts 💕

Good afternoon lovely friends!! Just wanted to give you an update on Eric 💞

We are in town right now, He is getting his stitches removed today, and they are putting in a new picc line for his IV antibiotics. He will still be on IV anti antibiotics for another 3 to 4 weeks. His recovery is going very well, it’s a slow process, but it is moving in the right direction. It’s been a wild ride for sure. He’s still very sore, and there’s still a good amount of swelling in his hand & wrist. He starts his physical therapy hopefully Monday, depending on the swelling when they get the stitches out.

I will make a post later this evening with pictures of his progress, post stitches, which will be slightly graphic, but nothing crazy I promise! I know everyone wants to see & know how our sweet Eric is progressing. Y’all are LEGIT the very best & we’ve never felt so loved ❤️

I also wanted to especially thank the sweet ladies putting on the fundraiser today at the American legion in Cusick 4pm-7pm for a loaded baked potato bar, and Slow Burn who are playing at the Usk Bar and Grill tonight for raising funds for us also. ❤️❤️

Thank you to everyone who has helped with our pups, picking up groceries, all the so sweet cards of well wishes, kind messages of love & support, just checking in on us, & help with our go fund me, and purchasing gift cards to use once we are opened for business again. 🥰

Eric and I are praying for all of our beautiful friends in Spokane, and their families. Our hearts go out to you during these awfully difficult times. We are thinking of you and keeping everyone affected by these devastating fires in our thoughts and prayers. ❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼

We are sending extra love & prayers to every family facing uncertainty, those who have been forced to evacuate, and all who are navigating this challenging situation. We are hoping for your safety and strength, and for these fires to be contained as quickly as possible.

We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to the brave firefighters, first responders, and linemen working around the clock to protect our community. Also to everyone helping with animals & transportation. Your selflessness and dedication are truly inspiring, and we are so thankful for all that you do.

Please know that Eric & I are holding all of our neighbors in Spokane close in our hearts. Please stay safe, look out for one another, and know that we are sending you all our love 💕 🙏🏼

When the time comes we will be doing our part in gathering resources to help anyone that we can with blankets, toiletries, food, clothing, exc.

Humbled. Loved. Supported. Thankful.

When I say we have the best of the best in our communities.. I mean we TRULY have the gold standard of humans in our lives 🥹❤️

We literally had no idea what we were going to do, knowing Eric was/ is going to be down for a while- first and foremost so so so thankful he’s ok, and healing, slowly, but healing!! .. but then what? We are day to day, paycheck to paycheck so to speak (anyone who’s run their own business knows there’s no paycheck 😅) but you know what I mean- just like everyone else- how will we make our bills?! How will we survive this sudden emergency??!!

Then… theeeeeen… we are lovingly embraced by everyone we’ve gotten to know, love, serve, laugh with, cry with.. everyone who has given us the absolute pleasure of sharing our days, meals, and life with.

There’s been a lot of tears- happy, sad, scared, uncertainty, and humbled appreciation. What a crazy time in our lives!!

Everyone sending positivity, prayers, well wishes, helpful information, words of kindness & advise, buying gift cards to redeem once we’re on our feet again, helping with our go fund me, sending cards & love- thank you so much!!! It’s all floating us through uncertain moments like a warm hug. Thank you thank you!!

GUESS WHOS HOME?!! 🥰🥰

Yep! Our sweet Eric is back in the comforts of home ❤️

His Picc line for IV antibiotics is installed & we are able to get all of his medical treatments done at home as well! We only need to go in once a week to change out the line for 6 -8 weeks!

He’s going to have to rest in his sanitary bubble we have created, watch the British bake off & be fed grapes like the king he is for a while. I think I can handle that 🥰

A few more weeks of him lazing around I guess.. slacker! Haha jk I’m just so happy he’s home & on the mend ❤️❤️❤️
