Our recent addition of cream pies and mini pies has been a tremendous success! And a lot of fun to make! So much so, we will need another freezer if we want to keep adding flavors - we are now at 41 full-time flavors plus a few seasonal options! And this number does not even include any vegan or no sugar-added variations. With that said, we will need to take a brief pause on mini pies - probably a couple of weeks, while we are getting ready for strawberry season. So, to get you through these 2 weeks we do have a freezer full of mini pies from the last few batches. They are $1 off each when you buy at least 3. Keep them frozen, thaw as needed and enjoy! The flavors available are in the photo. We are open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 AM until 6 PM.

Once we start picking strawberries sometime in the 2nd week of June, we will be making our fresh strawberry pie for the duration of strawberry season - mini and regular 9-inch sizes.

Our goal is to have a weekly rotating mini pie menu by the end of June. We have some exciting flavor ideas using seasonal produce.

As for our traditional 9-inch pies, all 41 flavors are available by order at https://www.iowaorchard.com/homemade-pies/ or as a take-&-bake on the spur of the moment. We do bake daily but only the top few flavors. Most of the time if you call ahead, we can have a fresh pie baked in 2-3 hours.

And raspberry picking is not too far behind - probably mid-June. Just a reminder, you can't sign up for picking yet - there is no exact opening date until we start seeing red fruit. We're happy to share that our raspberry patch is overflowing with fruit buds this season! 🌼 It's going to be a bumper crop! Raspberry picking will take place at our Granger location, and we're anticipating a mid-June start date, partially coinciding with strawberry season. 🍓 This means you'll have the unique opportunity to combine both strawberry and raspberry picking in one convenient trip, making it a fun-filled day out for the whole family! We're on a roll - we've whipped up two more pie recipes for you to enjoy!

1) Calling all true chocolate lovers! Prepare to fall in love with this intensely rich, gooey custard pie. We bake it with two distinct types of premium chocolate inside our signature chocolate crust, then top it off with a cloud of espresso-infused whipped cream. It is the ultimate, perfectly balanced chocolate dream—and it is officially here to stay!

2) Vanilla Rhubarb Custard is our seasonal creation. Our current batch of rhubarb has the prettiest pink hues, and we just had to show it off. It is a stunning treat where creamy, warm vanilla custard meets the bright, tart crunch of fresh rhubarb to perfectly balance every sweet bite.

Mini pies are back for this Memorial Day weekend. They're available starting on Friday at 9 AM until sold out. So come early for the best selection.

Our mini pies measure 6 inches and feed 2 people, or one very hungry person.

We finally caught up on freeze-drying apples and tried something new - freeze-dried Michigan tart cherries! Freeze-drying retains all of the nutrients while creating a new texture - airy and crunchy like a chip. It is a whole new way to enjoy cherries. They are available at our Meredith Drive store Tuesday through Sunday, 9 AM to 6 PM.
