Hello, Rustic Crumb flourshares fansters and enthusiasts. I have had to take a hiatus due to health concerns initially related to a simultaneous case of COVID and strep throat, followed by a couple of respiratory infections.

My health has been hampered by a smoking neighbor living in a condo two floors below me, who’d signed a non-smoking lease. All legal avenues are being explored, and I’ve grateful to having been hosted by friends and family, as has my neighbor directly below.

In the interest of a more sustainable solution, two requests follow:

Do you know of an environmental toxicologist who could observe and / or provide expert testimony?

Would you know of any short term housing possibilities? Even just a bedroom for overnight stay would be helpful. I’m prepared to provide payment of whatever form or amount is appropriate. The female neighbor below my condo is also looking and is a super-responsible PhD student.

Thanks for letting me know if any options for either question exist in your circle - for me or my neighbor!

As for the rye sourdough bread and crackerz, I hope to be able to produce it again in a healthy space, hopefully mine. I will surely keep you all posted.

A London distributor says thieves posing as a French client stole some $389,000 worth of cheddar. The tight-knit U.K. cheese community is on high alert — and asking people to help sniff out the goods.

NPR asked Democrats in red and purple districts: How will you win votes this election?

Maxwell says meeting people where they are means talking about the things that are important to them — not culture wars, but basic needs.

“We all deserve clean water, access to health care, making sure that K through 12 education is funded, making sure that women have access to reproductive care,” she said.

To win the White House, the Harris-Walz ticket will need to appeal to voters in purple areas, and maybe even red ones. We asked Democrats who live in those parts of the country what could make that happen.
