It is with sadness that we have to announce that Mendocino Wool and Fiber Inc. is ceasing operations. It has been an incredible journey that has led us to work with some amazing people and we appreciate having met and worked with each of you. Unfortunately, the economics of small yarn mills makes building a stable, viable business a challenge we aren’t able to navigate at this time.

If you have an order in with us now, you can expect us to reach out in the coming month or so to coordinate its pickup. Sarah will complete as many of the orders that are in the middle of being processed now as she can.

Mill Update 2024

Hello Woolie People,

We are so privileged to work with all your gorgeous fiber and make lovely things for you. Thank you for your support and the opportunity to work with you!

We are trying something a little different this shearing season. We are going to close the wait list for the mill and hope to start a new list for the year in July. We have a lot of employee time off coming up and with shearing season starting to get underway, (a little late due to all the wonderful rain!) we need the time to clear up and get organized, and stay on top of shearing season’s demands. We will use the extra time to recover from burn out and hopefully come up with some new ideas to come back better than ever!
Our webstore will still be open, we have yarn at a few stores and we plan to attend a few events during this time so we’ll be around, make sure to say hi!
